I'm looking into buying a 2000 328ci with 27,000 miles on it. Unfortunately, it won't be purchased from a bmw dealership. It will only have a 2 year/50,000 mile warranty on the drivetrain. Although this will be my first bmw, I know that bmw's are known to need repairs at certain mileage points. My question (finally!): Is it possible to purchase a warranty as comprehensive as bmw's or a bmw warranry itself, from bmw or a certified dealer? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

You can only get a CPO warranty from the dealer if the car is still under the orginal factory warranty. Then you can get it a CPO warranty on it at the dealer.

( from what we have delt with at our dealers some of those aftermarket warranty really suck and are a pain in the a$$)
