Just picked up my 330 - black on terra. This is my first BMW, and I can't tell you how much fun I'm having driving this thing. (Traded in an FX35.)

This car is amazing. Can't wait to really open her up after break-in...

Is she stick?

How was the FX?

Thanks for the comments.

The 330 is automatic with Sport and Premium packages. It also has Active steering -- which I really like. It gives the car a very balanced feel.

I did like the FX. It was very comfortable and had a high "look at me" quotient (especially with those 20" rims). It handled nicely for an SUV, but even with 280hp, acceleration was nowhere near the 330. What prompted the decision to trade it on the BMW was the service fees that kept adding up. 7,500 miles = $100. 15,000 = $410. 22,500 = $200. 30,000 = $715 (brakes weren't included, which cost another $350). BMW's no service costs for 4 years is an outstanding deal.

Service costs aside -- now that I've driven the 330, I could never go back.

Here's the interior. I had to use a flash which has a tendency to mutate colors. But it looks fairly close.

its a nice car over all the E90's are starting to grow on me, but one question why automatic and not 6 speed?

Far as I know automatic is a 6 speed :-)
Manuals are great when your younger.
Gets tired after 30+ years driving.
All my cars were manuals when I was under 40.
Automatics also have much better value when time comes to sell it.

Flawless car, lots of great luck with it!

Got to love the "Terra" interior, most unique of all colors!

Hey just wondering: were the guys at BMW NS good on their prices? My brother, who lives in Phoenix, say that they don't discount as heavily as Camelback BMW.

That's a great looking car, and I LOVE the interior color. Seriously the nicest E90 Interior I've seen. The lack of iDrive is a nice touch too :). Are Angel Eyes standard with Xenons, or the 330? Anyways I love the car. if it was me, I'd have gotten the stick, but hey a 6-speed automatic isn't too shabby either. :buttrock

Xenons are standard on the 330i, and all xenon's have angel eye's.

nice car. exact same car my friend just bought.

he was flooring it with 550 miles on it.. i called him a douchebag but hell, he didn't spend a dime on it (parents did).

it's just comfortable fast. having all that torque down low makes it very easy to drive.

E90, however, certainly lacks the involvement predecessors have. go get yourself an E30 325 or E36 325/328..you know, just as a beat-up daily driver... they are cheap and really, really pleasure to drive.

Wow, I love the interior color. And the build quality looks exceptional. I'd have gone either manual or at least SMG for the involvement/fun factor. Still, beautiful car. Enjoy!

Manual or auto are the only tranny options.

I ordered Monaco, terra with poplar trim. I am not sure I made the right choice. What did you go with? Can' tell by the photo.

To everyone: what trim looks best with Terra. Is it too late to change with the dealer? I ordered yesterday/

You are in the same boat as me. I have an FX35 now and I should (cross my fingers) be getting a 330 soon.

The FX is an incredible car but gas prices and maintenance chanrges make this car way too expensive. The exterior styling is second to none and the interior is a little above adequate but nothing spectacular. It does have too many rattles for a luxury car though and some of the plastics inside diminuate the feel of the car.

The car handles incredibly for an SUV, no doubt, but it is not quick enough to remove yourself from the fact that you are driving a SUV.

Another BIG problem is that the design leads itself to a lot of dents and dings all over. No side rails, which would ruin the car's lines, allow for dents in parking lots. The front "bull nose" catches a lot of rocks too since it is a fairly low sitting car.

Again...with the maintenance fees and gas prices what they are, you can really afford a better car if you do not need the room. If you need an SUV though, this is the one to get. Avoid the FX45 though becaus ethe extra HP is negated by the increase price, increase gas consumption, and increased weight. FX45 is strictly a stauts symbol.

BTW, your pics are sweet. I am going with the black too. Not sure if I want the jet black or Metallic Black yet....

That is one awesome looking car.

I've been wanting a Mercedes C-class for the longest but I'm slowly turning towards the 3 series. Your photos have just about completed that turn.
