View Full Version : Turkish GP Predictions anyone?
rmani 08-17-2005, 01:34 PM I'm thinking MS might pickup his first real win of the year. Michael usually does well on new tracks.
I think JPM will show well also and that Renault might have problems similar to the last GP.
tylerAWe36m3 08-17-2005, 03:44 PM assuming the mclaren doesn't have a mechanical, JPM and kimi. walking away. then alonso and MS
YetiX 08-17-2005, 05:29 PM assuming the mclaren doesn't have a mechanical, JPM and kimi. walking away. then alonso and MS
Agreed.
Phylo 08-17-2005, 06:09 PM Shumacher might have a chance if bridgestone make some good tires for this track. Its a new track so who knows who'll be bringing the better tires, or if tires will even matter much.
Like always. I think kimi will win. But with alonso's last finishing time, he'll get to go later in qualifying. Kimi and Shumacher will have to go earlier and might not put on the best performance.
Im just hoping alonso's car dies and kimi wins so we have some fierce competition in the last few races for the Driver's Championship.
sportcarm3 08-17-2005, 11:25 PM Kimi.
Im sure he can feel the championship slipping away from Alonso, if he wins the next race and Alonso gets no points its anyone game. If Alonso wins i feel its pretty much bottoned up for him to win.
320iskid 08-17-2005, 11:26 PM Kimi all the Way :alright ! Unless McClaren screws up again :mad

Umm i think you have it the wrong way around. Kimi gets to go out last, because he won the last race. I hope alonso gets a bad quali position and gets stuck behind a slower car and scores little to no points..
Kimi all the way!
cgregory 08-18-2005, 04:10 AM I'm hoping Kimi will win, but he's about due for another mechanical :(

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Alonso will have the disadvantage this time around in qualifying having to go out early. MS and Kimi will be the last two to go. This is a pressure situation for Renault; I'm curious to see how they handle it. If they don't score points this round they'll really be under the gun to hold the lead they have.
chr328is 08-18-2005, 12:03 PM Williams will sweep... the 7th and 8th position
m5maniac2001 08-18-2005, 03:54 PM Williams will sweep... the 7th and 8th position
hehe :)
You never know, over the 3 week break they could have got there act together. I would love to see them get back in form and take the positions away from the renaults.

rmani 08-21-2005, 03:00 PM Interesting race. JPM really messed up for Mclaren when he pulled in front of moteiro and slammed on the brakes, thus causing the jordan to run into the back of him and breaking his rear diffuser.
Interesting tangle between MS and Webber also. MS was totally at fault although I'm suprised Webber contested to begin with, seeing as how he was a lap down.
Glenn 328is 08-22-2005, 10:05 AM I thought it was a great race too. Weird about the right rears going on the Williams' cars though.
JPM cutting in front on Monteiro had to be done. My take is that it was TM's fault and he knew JPM was passing, plus I am sure he was lapped so he shouldn't have been entering the corner so quick.
Webber passing MS was unfortunate, but is it impossible for a lapped car to unlap himself to try to come back into the race?
Glenn 328is 08-22-2005, 10:37 AM Oh, and I am so glad Mike Tyson was there too. Eccelstone is a moron. And showing that loser around solidifies my case.

I'm a JPM fan but I think he blew it. To cut in front of a Jordan like that, which is already low on downforce, has Bridgestone tires and on top of that you take the air off of it and then expect it to brake evenly with a front runnig McLaren. What was he expecting to happen?
He should of just taken the corner from his inside position, he would of lost about 1/10 of a sec on that turn instead his mistake ended up costing him a position.
p1u1n1x1 08-22-2005, 02:00 PM yeah, shame about JPM. I got the imprssion that he felt he was being held up and nade an emotional descision which bit him. As for the Williams' they're saying that the bodywork was rubbing the tires at high speeds and cutting them down, but you'd think that a team that big would figure these things out before a Grand Prix. I was also happy to see Micheal retire after his desperate and dirty move on Webber since it seems that most of the time he gets away with such tactics.

You're probably right - but I just don't get it where a guy running 3 laps down doesn't just get the heck out of the way of a guy running in the top 3. I've heard Alonso whine about the back markers - but the guy has a point.
I watch F1 because I find that the driving in the top 10 is (to my untrained eye) the best in the world, but the stragglers at the rear - the buy a ride guys - scary. Remember Alex Joong??!!
rmani 08-23-2005, 10:01 AM Minardi is really the only team where racer's buy rides. I'd absolutely consider some of the backrunners this year to be among the best drivers in the world.
autophile 08-23-2005, 04:19 PM Williams will sweep... the 7th and 8th position
:rofl
werd.

Joong wasn't bad at all compared to that other guy a few years back. I forgot his name...he drove the MTV-liveried footwork car.
JuliusPleaser 08-24-2005, 08:24 AM MTV sponsored the Simtek team.
Geo31 08-24-2005, 01:56 PM Webber passing MS was unfortunate, but is it impossible for a lapped car to unlap himself to try to come back into the race?
Unfortunate?? :confused
Scummie was slow and he was being passed by a faster car. He pulled his usuall bullshit, but this time Webber wasn't buying. More drivers shouldn't accept Scummie's BS. I cheered. :buttrock He took himself out. He's a dirty driver and always has been. That's not to say he's not talented. Clearly he is, but he's also Scummie.

I could'nt have said this better my self. He is and always has been a dirty racer.
F**ker should never have gotten that championship where he cut Hill off.
JPM's the only one I've seen who kind of stood up to his crap.
JuliusPleaser 08-24-2005, 08:57 PM F**ker should never have gotten that championship where he cut Hill off.
I was a fan up until that point.
