i have 20 sets available at this introductory price for the last time, ever. price will go up on these.

-bullet proof ballast
-Better aesthetics with thinner rings and nicer notches... which leads me to...
-Better light dispersion... no "dead spots"
-Better color - no 8000K ugliness, just pure 6000K color
-**LESS BULKY**... therefore...
-MUCH EASIER to install... as well as...
-No chance of breaking with autoleveling - they are thinner
-Better CLIPS! Pressure fit, only one notch necessary... easier to put on...
-Lighter - less chance of rocking around and breaking
-**BETTER LIGHT DISPERSION!** Because of the TRUE chromed backing
-Better wiring, cleaner, more predictable
-Rings can be removed and replaced - no need for a whole new ring if something goes wrong
-Clips can be removed - so we stock one kit for E36, E38, E39, etc etc... very handy

themadhatter 10-27-2005, 09:03 PM you guys are seriously making me rethink running angel eyes on my e36.
umnitza 10-30-2005, 01:00 PM New units have arrived:

now with HyperPolish Rings.

themadhatter 10-30-2005, 01:06 PM what does the hyperpolish do?
umnitza 10-30-2005, 01:09 PM what does the hyperpolish do?
That's tough to explain without revealing some pretty proprietary things.
But let's just say these rings "sparkle" more when off than our last batch:)
sebass 10-30-2005, 03:29 PM Just a quick question. I am kinda new to the whole light upgrade. I did some research and found that I can't put these angel eyes on stock headlamps. So I would have to upgrade to euro ellipsoids in order to get these angel eyes right? Will they work with the DEPO Euro Ellipsoids? Thanks for the help.
habbie 10-30-2005, 03:32 PM yes they will work with depo's, check the group buy right here:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=381171&page=1&pp=25
now shipping with the latest chromium's.
sebass 10-30-2005, 04:00 PM Thanks. Please bear with me now because I'm reallly interested but kind of confused. If I'm understanding this right, the DEPOs are just the headlight casing(do bulbs come with it and is it just standard halogen?), the PNP is the easy connection device and the Predator Chromiums are completely separate lights that produce the angel eye effect. So if I did the group buy you linked me to it would be 291.78 and whats the shipping time? Thanks again.

do bulbs come with it and is it just standard halogen?bulbs can be included at extra cost of $12, or you can pick up some h1 bulbs at any auto parts store.
the PNP is the easy connection device and the Predator Chromiums are completely separate lights that produce the angel eye effect.yes.

pick the package you like, the $291 package is for the regular angel eyes not the chromiums.
brownsound 10-30-2005, 04:41 PM You have any pics of the Chromiums with no HID at night?

sebass 10-30-2005, 04:54 PM Awesome. So the set for 291.78 comes with the Predator basics, right? Do ALL of these sets come preassemblied with the angel eyes in them or would I have to install them myself? Also what are the differences between the Basics and the Chromiums? And are the guarantees still the same with the group buy: 30 days with the Basics and lifetime with the Chromiums.
habbie 10-30-2005, 06:35 PM yes, you can choose from thinline or oe.
all are pre-installed.
the chromiums are our top of the line product the latest in angel eyes, they are the brightest and best looking of all bot on or off.
warranty on chromiums is lifetime.

sebass 10-31-2005, 12:06 PM Thanks for all the information habbie and for answering all of my questions. I decided to go with the set of DEPO's PNP and Chromiums. Do you recommend any good light bulbs to get to compliment the Chromiums? Also are the kits universal for e36s because I just realized I didn''t remember being asked about the car year or model. If you need this info let me know. Thanks again.
habbie 10-31-2005, 12:57 PM kit is universal to all e36's.
i recommend hid's its the single biggest improvement to you lighting, however if hid's are not an option at this time you can pick up a set of osram silverstars (the euro verson) some vendors carry them and i've seen them on ebay.

The whole light assembly? not just the rings or something like that?
Is it similar wiring to the fk's?
do you still have 2 ava?

umnitza 02-24-2006, 04:47 PM Hey Habs, do these quotes ring any bells for you:
BTW, I've had the original Chromiums installed since summer and I have had absolutely NO problems with cold starts in -25c weather here for the past week. IMO the 'heated' feature was a fearmongering marketing strategy started by a competitor of the Chromiums...in reality very few people have problems with cold starts and I suspect the problems are related to installation rather than the product...
The cold weather upgrade for the angel eyes works great, light up instantly, dont have the ghetto dim/out look anymore. Excellent fix for all you with the same problem!!!! Pray for spring!!!! Thanks, chromeladyracing
I had a problem with one of my angel eyes not really lighting up the way it should be. Luckily Matt at umnitza helped me out. It was really dim and I thought the weather was the reason for it not lighting up but it would never warm up.
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c399/greggtw/halofix011.jpg
If power gets to one of the rings first it can cause the other ring to not light up all the way. So you have to get rid of the plastic connectors and wire it direct. I did this with the headlight in the car because I am tired of taking out my headlights. You may have to take yours out if you can't access the wires. I only did this to the one side becaue the other side hasn't acted up yet.
SOLUTION:
1. Pull the Ballast out of the headlight
2. Snip the wires near the end of the connectors that come from the ballast and the ones coming from the angel eye. Should be a total of 8 wires you have to cut. I only show one connector being cut off so cut off both.
3. Strip the ends of the wires to connect them directly and solder. I used this heat shrink stuff to protect the connection. If you don't have that be sure to use some electrical tape so it doesn't come in contact with other wires in the headlight. (You might be able to use butt connectors but this is how I was told to do it.)
