With nothing seperating me from the freeway except a red light, a titanium 745i pulls along side of me in the left lane. My lane ends in a 1/4 mile. I had no doubt that the other driver was thinking the same exact thing that I was, as I click over to sport mode. The light turns green and we both hit it. He's gapping me badly, as I am trying to stomp the gas pedal through the floorboard. So badly, I wonder if he knows that I'm even trying. There's no catching up, I'm admitting defeat right as my cell phone rings. It's my wife. I tell her that I just got my doors blown off by a 7. She tells me that BMW service just called, my 545i is ready to be picked up. They'd like their loaner X3 3.0L back.

Hahahaha good story. I was about to say is something wrong with your 545i losing to the 745i. 545i's are really fast. I didnt know the X3 had sport mode.

Straightaway, yes. Twisties, no. If I ever find the guy that punked me while I was in the loaner X3, I'm going to yell at him as he disappears from my rear view, "Say hello to my little friend".
