this sounds like a great idea and I would love to partake. Chicks are definetly needed though. And I agree in keeping this a BMW thing for now, we don't need any cocky Supra owners. I say start posting on other forums if we can't get enough bfc and dtm peeps first.

it would be better to have it just bmw's. ive noticed that a lot fo vw drivers see bmw's and try to show off their rides and stuff. we cant be having that type of stuff going to vegas since the 15N past barstow is 2 lanes in both directions. if it is in late dec early jan it would be kewl since I am going to be turning 23 in jan. casey give us the details if you need help planning im sure people here wouldnt mind giving some ideas and stuff. we should try and get at least 20-30 cars maybe even more, and just arrive in the strip in style.

GRAY GOOSE
08-14-2005, 05:19 AM
Yeah.. hey no im guys im not trying to take total credit for this I want this to be open and hella fun. I dont think we will spend THAT much money but I dont want to hold back. Dude guys there has to be more than just bmws. Open your mind to other german cars. I think we should just have german cars? REAL cars yea know?

I think That would be crazy fun.

08-14-2005, 01:38 PM
let me explain my reason for not opening it up to other cars. the way to las vegas is a 2 lane freeway there are always the few that are going to say my car is better and try to dual it out. chp is going to be on our asses probably pulling over people for no reason and if people do try to dual it out we gonna have bigger problems

bimmerboi330
08-15-2005, 01:31 AM
Hey quick question? Is anyone gonna go and see the JGTC race, cuz that might be a good place to start the trip on a sunday after a race, thatway we get the best hotel rates, sun-thurs, and we see a pretty damn good race weekend. Damn japanese have some real racing on par with Rolex Cup or Speed World GT Challenge. Plus there is an e36 competing in the GT300 class, question is whether he will actually make it to the Allstars race.

Im down for this, lets firgue out wher we can stay. The St. Tropez hotel is just off of strip and is all suites. Its cheap and the parking lot is huge and we can easily have all of our cars parked by each other. Its across from the Hard Rock hotel in Vegas. Its cheap and people can easily split rooms if they bunk up. Plus the rooms are pretty cheap anyway for how big they are. They have a bad rep but i dont know why i stayed there last June and it was fine.

Sounds very interesting, we can do a drive to No Cal. That sounds cool as there are quite some scenic drives. We can start from L.A stop and party in Santa Barbara, head N. to the golden gate bridge, etc and so on. Tahoe? Vegas is cool but alot of desert, rather drive up along the coast. Just throwing other possible suggestions. Money is really no object just need to set a tentative time frame so I can put in for vacation.

If it's Vegas we can also go by Laughlin as rooms are like $20/ day and it isn't infested with police. There's a few bars there and more places to take pictures around there too. There's the Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon etc if we head east. Maybe some people can also throw out some other suggestions or points of interest for the road trip. :)

Don't know, but we are going to Vegas right? Just to make sure because that sugeestion of heading north never got shot down as a group just as individuals makign suggestions. Also how many are coming from LA and how many from OC and Riverside and SD so we can figure out meeting places based off of that. I would say to have 2 caravans meeting like at Barstow or Baker so we can go from there without problems. Just my $0.10

BiMMa b0i M3
08-18-2005, 05:16 AM
well it doesnt matter what time we meet up, try to avoid the 91E, the worst freeway known to man. 9-10am would prolly work best. meeting spot should be tustin marketplace for the people in the OC as for LA and SD county not sure. i think the last spot before the state line should be baker since it is right off the 15.
the best way to get to the 15N from tustin market place would be taking the 5N to 57N to 10E then 15N to avoid traffic, we dont want to lose people along the way.
LA county people can organize their own caravan, it would just be easier in my opinion, and then meet up in Baker, but the OC caravan have a semi-later meeting time to give the LA people some time to make it over to Baker

Interesting thought just hit me. Are you guys familiar with Lake Isabella and the North Fork of the Kern Rivier?

If so and you like it we might be able to do a road trip to that as well. My family part ownership in a vacation property up there and we can get a cabin and party and stuff and at night or suring the day run the canyon roads up there and take pics up in those mountains. The only patrol that exists is Park Rangers and I dont think a GMC 1500 can really keep up with anything we would bring. Anyway the area is all wooded and whatnot and if you are into BBQs and hiking would be a great trip if you dont mind sharing a cabin with some cool bf.c folks. PM or post if you like this in addition to the Vegas meet.

I am interested but finances will dictate if I get to go or not...as well as time off work.

But if you are going to vegas the BEST PLACE to meet hands down is ONTARIO MILLS MALL.

it is between the 210, 60 and 10 at the 15. How perfect. Peeps can meet at let's say Dave and Buster's parking lot. HUGE LOT...and everyone can leave in one huge pack from Ontario Mills.

Another plus, if peeps cant make the road trip, they can still come out to the meeting ground to hang out.

Just need a date and a time...the meeting place should be Ontario Mills. Also there are gas stations there so EVERYONE...can top off before hitting the road.

casey, im on the verge of getting us the presidential suite at the rio hotel. i talked to my homie, he will let me know by tonite, and the best part is that if he can, its free of charge. so that leaves more $$$ towards the fun stuff. i say that there should be an OC caravan meeting up at tustin marketplace we should meet up there around 9am, be at ontario mills by 10-11am, wait for everyone in front of the dnb have some lunch (if everyone else is down for that) and then leave by 12-1 depending on what time everyone shows up. then head to vegas from there coz check in time is 3pm. as for the LA county caravan i think the best place should be the fuddruckers in pasadena. and then from there take the 210E to 57S to 10E, best way. avoid the 91 as best as possible.

pig4bill
08-20-2005, 05:07 PM
The original premise was 3 days, video, and an interesting drive. A 4 hour blast up I-15 is boring. If you time it wrong it's 2 hours of stop-and-go followed by a 4 hour blast. It would be much more interesting to do PCH up to the Bay, people from there would join in, do the interesting mountain roads to Tahoe, and then the lightly patrolled roads down to Vegas.

You can do a late lunch stop in the Bay area, pick up NorCal people, do a dinner and overnight stop in Tahoe, and then overnight in Vegas. Tahoe roads are icy in winter though, so a fall or spring date would be best for this route.

bimmerboi330
08-23-2005, 11:52 PM
The only problem with Tahoe is that it requires more driving and less partying. I mean its gonna take quite a bit of driving whereas in 5 hours tops we could be in Vegas partying or Laughflin for that matter. Tahoe would be nice that time of the season becuase the snow won't have started and Vegas would make a great winter trip but why don't you come down here. I mean we could hit up Vegas pretty well see how that goes and then see if we could later plan more trips that have more complications. For right now, I think Vegas is the best option simply because of the simplicity of the drive. Someone gets lost you just wait at the next big landmark. So lets leave this trip for Vegas, see how it goes, see how people get organized and how we all get along and then we can plan bigger and better things for the summer and stuff when we have more time and maybe take 4 or 5 days off and tour Cali a little.

So just come on down to SoCal and Vegas and next time we will be able to really go big.

So just come on down to SoCal and Vegas and next time we will be able to really go big.
:thanks: finally someone other than me

yeah word up dude Im gonna be 17 at the time of this trip (Oct 13 is my Bday) however, look a hell of a lot older than 1 to the point I have not been carded in Vegas for about 2 years now, exspecially if I leave a little subble on. I assume that the older members of this meet will not have a problem with us enjoying alcohol, so long as we don't drive afterwards, especially if we chip in or provide and we are mature about it. That I think is gonna be the only thing really asked of anyone on this trip: Maturity.

Yeah it doesn't matter but Vegas is not very forgiving for people w/o I.D's especially all the nightclubs, bars etc. Just wondering what everyone was planning on doing or where we planned to party. Trying to sneak in one minor (21 - for this case) is hard enough but a whole group??? If we are going to party and hook up with all those (what happens in vegas :3some :ky :drink1 :boobies :bj :beer , stays in vegas) women then there's only one place they'll be hanging out...21+ places. Just a thought.....we'd be better off driving to some cabin "importing" (bringing/inviting, lol) our women and parting there. It would be less to worry about. Granted I am only speaking on behalf of the assumption we are going there to party. I think it would not be a bad idea to put what age you are next to our "who's going" list so we can plan accordingly. I'll be bringing a sh!t load of alcohol regardless for anyone who cares to party :buttrock and a few ladies if we need to make it a byob&b. (beer & b!+ches, j/k lol)

p.s. all we need is a confirmation on a room (that suite in question) or if we are going to be making our own arrangements??

1. Beemerboi330 - Age 17 at time of trip with 3 days till 18th

I got no fake ID but if you meet me most people will think I'm around 21, 22 expecially if I don't shave for a day or two. But I can get a fake ID for this trip. If you want a cabin to party in, I can hook that up, like I said before R-Ranch in the Sequioas 20 miles north of Lake Isabella, wonderful canyon driving and rednecks (no offense to any rednecks who live there or drive BMWs). We can drink, party, etc, Jacuzzis, Olympic Size pool, tennis courts, cabins, etc. Its an Idea but if the prez suite is hooked up that is fine by me. Plus i plan on bringin a keg anyway so Ill be drinkin no matter what.

You planning on going on a SPIRITED (cause you know it will be) drive with a KEG full of beer (an illegal substance since you are underage) all the way to Vegas? No offense, but that is a bad idea and is just asking for trouble. Not to mention it is heavy, and will be hot as hell by the time you get to vegas. Just bring some cash and get the keg in Vegas, mush easier.

Well I meant in general getting a keg. And if its in the trunk, cops can't search me unless they have reason to believe I am a DUI or in possesion of something. And since I don't plan on drinkin and drivin, I dont think they will need to search me. But yeah I mean in general I will supply a 1/4 or a 1/2 bbl keg.

As for a Spirited drive to Vegas, I would rather arrive 10 even 30 minutes later and not deal with Johnny Law than get a ticket. CHP on that stretch are a bunch of pricks. I stopped once to take a piss cuz i missed the stop in baker and there was traffic like a bitch, and as i leave my car, CHP is on my ass asking if something was wrong. When he found out I wanted to take a leak in the bushes, he informed me I would get a ticket for that. Bull but whatever I dont plan to get pulled over.

I haven't read the whole thread but I'd say go to Laughlin. Bally's has a nice beach and you can rent water toys. Also there is a nice indian hotel casino right at Parker, I can't remember the name of it but it's really nice too. Vegas is too hectic.
