Well, this was my first run in with another sports car since I've owned this m3. I'm cruising down a two lane country road (stilesboro rd.) this afternoon when I come up behind the coupe. I guess this guy must have noticed me too because i can hear him playing with the gears from a few hundred feet back. I'm ready in third at about 45 when he hits it on a long straight. I stay right with him up to about 90 where we approached an intersection. So, we cruise for another couple miles, and then we hit a red light. When it turns green he stays still for several seconds then raises his revs and drops it. He spun bad in first so I had to hold up to keep from running up his ass. I spent that run at partial throttle. Obviosly this guy can't drive. I decided to follow him. We cut through a nice curvy back road (speed limit 35) at about double the limit, dayyyumm that coupe sounds nice!!! The coupe kept straight across Hwy. 41 and I turned right. It was fun to showing an older status symbol how to drive. As for mods, the coupe may have had exhaust, it still had a dealer tag from SELECT.

My car's mods (that effect acceleration):
Dinan vortech v2-sq @6psi + stage 5 software
dinan catback exhaust
Shrick intake manifold + extrude honed
6-speed transmission
3.46 diff W/ 45% lockup

Interesting I thought almost all the new Maseratis were F1 style.

What's that?
Ummm.......ummmm......hmmm.....that thing looks familiar. I think I've seen something similar....hmmmmmmmm......don't they normally have a button on the side, and move up and down with things like P, R, N, D, etc? I thought that was like sport shifter action? :stickoutt

Nice mod list! what's the top speed with a 6 speed and 3.46 diff?

Seriously, someone didn't mess around with your car. Did you do the modding or did you buy it that way.
I think those are great mods for such a short list.

Yea, I'm pretty sure he had a manual transmission, because he def raised his revs before he took off.

As for my car, I bought it that way about a month or so ago, and it came w/ all recipts for the mods as well as all service records since new. Quite a find!!
As far as top speed, not sure what it is, b/c this damn ATL traffic is insane. It's hard to find open hwy even at 11:30 on a weeknight.

What up Nick? Hows ur new ride doing?

Good run man. Does Maseratti make a 4dr car? I saw my first Mas in Spokane the other day and of course I raced it on the freeway in which I got pwned! But I could have sworn it was a 4dr... hard to tell from the back!

Ferrari's LC will allow you to raise the revs prior to engaging the clutch on an F1 system provided you are stepping on the brake pedal.

It could explain the several seconds it took him to activate LC.
