I've been hearing this reall low "thump, thump" type noise that seems to be coming from the coast for a few days now from like 4pm all night long. I can't find it, even from the highest peak in N. County. What the hell is it? I'm I going insane or what? What is that damn noise.

I believe its Marine training from Pendleton, and they probably are bombs. I hear them too in Oceanside when we visit the inlaws.

Could be, but it's been like constant, they're sure dropping alot of tonnage if that's what it is. It sounds almost like a Thunder storm. I guess that could be it too from Bonsall maybe.

usually when we're there, they keep blowing shit up, and the booming lasts a good portion of the night.

I am pretty sure I saw a thing on the news or in the paper saying the Marines will be training with the big guns. If you are in N. County you will hear it.
Its the fireworks going off at Sea World... I can hear them from my place in LJ.

Haha, that's true too. Summer nights at around 9PM daily. I heard the other booming too though at around 4-5. Sounded different. Thought an earthquake was coming.

Yup. I can hear and see them from Del Cerro. They go off nightly at 9:50.
I always thought it would be fun to do a car meet / photoshoot at the boat landing across from sea world while they're setting off fireworks.
