I need some help, I have the X5 and my brake lining light and brake light have been coming on. I know I need new discs and I have been looking on ebay to purchase the brake rotors pads set that comes with the disc, pads, and sensor. Will I have to reset the sensors in order to have the lights from coming on and if so how, please help. Thanks Louis 305-305-1247.

Go to South BMW, buy the brakes/rotors there. They will give you wholesale prices, plus you'll save on shipping because shipping rotors/pads is expensive. Unless you find a considerably cheaper price online, just buy 'em locally. You could always upgrade to a better pad :evil2

As for the sensors, when you replace the rotors/pads, you will have to replace the sensors too... that will turn off the light on the dash. When the light on the dash comes on, it's because the sensor has worn off because the pads are low. Replacing the sensor fixes the problem... there are two sensors and I think they are $12.
