View Full Version : Where to get Memphis Audio products? M3_MadBimmer 08-09-2005, 03:19 PM I hear they are a good company but i can not find any online sites that sell their audio stuff. Any help is appreciated JPWheelr 08-09-2005, 03:26 PM and you wont Memphis is damn near #1 in the industry blocking internet sales. You sell memphis online, you never sell memphis again. they personally inspect their dealers and are pretty f-ing hardcore no support provided for non-dealer purchases (online or not) - if online, that person is not a dealer - or wont be soon Good equipment, really good actually Peter FORMER Memphis dealer M3_MadBimmer 08-09-2005, 03:27 PM i guess i will lurke around my local audio shops :) thanks JPWheelr 08-09-2005, 03:32 PM sorry but really, their pricing at retail is fair. and see if you can buy at MAP or less - your dealer will know what you are talking about. Plus, the MOJO and LVS are subs you really need to demo to believe. I don't lilke their component speakers. quality not too great. best of luck redflame 08-09-2005, 03:38 PM hey luke if u need memphis let me know the model number and things.. i know a local stereo shop that deals with memphis fairly well -sam M3_MadBimmer 08-09-2005, 03:55 PM sorry but really, their pricing at retail is fair. and see if you can buy at MAP or less - your dealer will know what you are talking about. I need tweeters, midranges and just some woofers. hey luke if u need memphis let me know the model number and things.. i know a local stereo shop that deals with memphis fairly well -sam thank a lot man, i'll let you know. Right now i am just doing some down the road planning...low on money right now JPWheelr 08-09-2005, 04:21 PM I had the studio components that allowed the tweeter to mount in the middle. I was excited to have tweeters in the kicks. The engineering and build quality of those things sucked. Major at my cost I think I paid $200 for them and I still felt ripped off. They were the most embarassing speaker to demo too. The tweeter mounted in the center was held in with three plastic tabs. If the woofer was rocking, the tweeter would eventually just pop loose (there was a spring behind it to give it tension to hold it in, all that did was make it a "musical chairs" style projectile) I can't even count how many customers were pegged by those. I got popped in the head by them and moved them closer to the floor. They worked no better in my car. They run good off of head unit power, amp power not so much. I don't even remember if they sounded ok or not remember this was about three or four years ago, they may be better now (anything would be) M3_MadBimmer 08-09-2005, 04:39 PM well what speakers are you using now? If you even work with that stuff anymore? JPWheelr 08-09-2005, 04:54 PM I'm currently running a Dynaudio system 360. Completely different end of the spectrum. About $800-$1300-$2k for a set (depending on where and when you find one...) I am really becoming a fan of elemental designs amps, I assume their speakers are pretty good. in the memphis price range, the image dynamics chameleons never dissappointed. what are you looking for? what's the goal / budget? 00poop6x 08-09-2005, 05:28 PM I had the studio components that allowed the tweeter to mount in the middle. They are actually really good build now, the M Class comps MCSYNC's. At the price you actually feel you paid and got every penny's worth now. Subs and amps...indeed what you said. Back on topic. I am currently an authorized dealer, I can not sell to you(M3_MadBimmer) but I'm sure any of us are more than happy to help. |
