Friends,

I received good news today from the Costco Auto Program people. (I had e-mailed them and they e-mailed me back with a Member Advocate's phone number to call.

The Costco Membership Price is $2,200 overdealer invoice.

That puts the price of my vehicle as ordered at $46,255 plus state sales tax and license fees.

Now that's a price I'm willing to pay under the circumstances. (It's a BMW and a new model design as well as next year's model).

I'm very pleased with this news and now even more eager for the scheduled delivery date of my new BMW on September 20, 2005.

P.S. The "Costco" price that the sales manager at the dealer wrote on my special order form was "$47,385 or $1580 discount" [off MSRP].

The gal I spoke with at Costco said to give her a call if, when I pick up the car, anything with the price is not right.

Can someone please explain this whole Costco buying program. I know what Costco is and we have them here, but I've never heard of buying a car through them. I don't understand how the BMW dealer gets involved.
