The Bay Bimmerz is organizing a drive on the 27th of July. The drive will start somewhere in the East Bay and last about 1.5 hours. The drive will end at the Blackhawk Auto Museum where we should enjoy car club discount admission.

I wish I had a URL. Unfortunately the site isn't up yet. We have been around a little over a year and had more than a dozen successful events. We have 350 people on our mailing list from Sacremento to SoCal.

Just drove the route this morning (at 6:30 am) very scenic. Most of it is a little slower than some would like, but we can make up for that in other places.

I've emailed BayBimmerz back.
I used to drive North Gate road to South Gate a few times when my buddies and I were wild and crazy.

I think it's $5 to get into the park with a car.
I STRONGLY recommend that you eat a decent amount, not too much and not too little, and drink plenty of water (especially if you're the passenger). Nausea sets in WAY quick on that road.
The peak is incredible IF you get lucky and it's a beautiful day, otherwise, if it's the least bit cloudy, it sucks.
Bring binoculars, the view is great, you can see almost every part of the Bay Area and then some.

So are you coming or what? We verified that it is $2 yesterday. It's free if you get there before 7am....

:D I'm disinclined to wake up before 7am on Sat:) And, I'm probably not going to make it due to some "prior committments" any time before 1pm. But I *may* drop in to have lunch with you guys @ Blackhawk Grill:D

I think it went great. Awesome turnout, cool route with **not too many bikers** Great views from the summit. All in all, it was a great day. Sorry you missed it
