i just got a 87 535is with blown engine a good friend gave me a engine out of i think it was a 89 740 either way their both 3.5ltr i was wondering where i cam get repair manuels thanks or advice

The two engines, assuming you mean a 735, are the same type, but there is a minor problem. Both engines are the M30, 3.5L SOHC engine, but the motor mounts changed in 1987 on the M30, so the mounts mill not line up. Other than that, it should be bolt-in
