O2 sensors trip on occaisson and fire a SES light with my exhaust. I took it in to be cleared and was charged $55 for the procedure. Then the service manager comes along and says the "insepction 2" service is due and that it'll be $1568.00. Ummm...no thanks BMW. I can get it done for 5 hours of labor plus parts at Fall Line Motorsports.

So much for dealer loyalty, I guess my next M will be shopped out for price via the web.

I should be out the door for less than $700 barring some major issue.

I have a 2002, ran it 48K miles and inspection 2 was up. Why didnt you upgrade the maintenance contract to 6yrs 100K miles, after doing some serious contemplation and planning and asking around its worth the upgrade.

but thats how much inspection 2s go for anyway.
