Sorry if this is a redundant thread, but I'm pondering getting a performance chip for my E34 and I'm wodering if its worth it to save $50 and install it myself. What's the worst I can do if I follow directions? Or do you think I'm better off taking it to a BMW guy. Thanks.

You can do it yourself.. it's easy. Just be very careful when handling the chip itself, you can bend the pins fairly easy. But other than that.. it's easy.

Snaybird,

Looks like I might have to give up my chip here in the next month.

I am going to need a custom chip created, so if you would like to get an EAT chip slightly used, PM me...
