Cameron Hauck 08-01-2005, 01:46 PM Well it started at 6:45am right above the freeway on 2000 E. They've detoured it for north bound traffic to get on the freeway southbound. So we're all their waiting in line and I see the explorer behind me stop short and then lurch foward right into my car. I didn't hit anyone because there was about a car lenth before the next car.
The car behind her was going to fast and couldn't stop his airbags went off. He was going about 30 mph. They towed his car and the explorer was drivable. I started my car and started to pull away. then noticed that my bumper was rubbing against the tire, including other funny noises. So I stoped, backed up and told the officer I needed a tow also. He then told me that if I could pull away I could drive to the gas station and call a tow truck. I then proceded to tell him he was a useless piece of poo, and called his Sargent. The Sargent then called me a tow truck to BMW.
When we got to BMW I have Mike start looking over it. The trunk won't open, the bumper in a mess and the rear fenders are bent out over the rear tires. Once they got the trunk open and looked under the carpet we noticed that the left side of the trunk has bent up and the battery is stuck in the car.
Then I went to the Doctor and got a X-ray, pain killers and a cool neck brace, now i'm sitting at home waiting fo my Dad to call me. The Sherrif wrote down unknown for the drivers insurance, so I gave my Dad the guys number and he's going to take care of it.
Not much good news, but i'll keep everyone posted.

Wow, that sucks. It's on it's way to alpine right now to meet the isurance adjuster from my company and it should get started today.
We are aproaching it as if he has NO insurance and then will go from there. If it still is a problem we can work through it from there.
I'm going to go back to the doctor in a few days for another check up. Right now I have pain meds and a neck brace, so i'm feeling ok. :)
I saw the crash scene on my way to work this morning. Sorry that you got injured in the accident.

Thanks to eveyone for the kind words. I hope it al turns out for the best. Good news is i'll get that scratch on the deck lid fixed at no cost.
