Hey all
Just had a quick question about racing seats. I was thinking of 3 brands. Recaro, Cobra, and Sparco. But here is my dilema...

1.) Recaro is the first choice. Unfortunately not available in Lebanon. They would have to be ordered from outside the country, which will add customs (30%) and shipping.

2.) Cobra is the second choice. Also not available in Lebanon. Add (30%) customs and shipping charges.

3.) Sparco is my third choice, but is readily available in Lebanon. I was thinking of getting the Evo (drivers seat) and Evo2 (Passenger). The local dealer has all the accessories including aluminum brackets and sliders.

Although it would make sense to go with the Sparcos, i feel they dont have as much bling factor as the other 2 brands. Quality?? I wanted to see what you guys think. Anybody out there have Sparco in thier E46 M3? I wanna know if you are happy with them. Any reason i should not get the sparco? Thanks guys.

I work on a E46 M3 with Red Sparcos in it, The problem with them that I noticed was the seat belt wore through red cloth on the seat from just putting the seatbelt on and off. And there are two holes in the seat back (as designed) The holes have black plastic moldings that fit around it. These moldings kept popping apart. They are supposed to snap together, but they just would not stay together.

Can you elaborate? I didnt understand how it wore through the red cloth. Would black cloth be affected as well, cause thats the color im thinking of getting.
