So can u guys explain to me how to take off my oem one piece knob/boot. Because i have the brushed trim and don't want to bang it up or break the clips off my boot :(

Just press in along one of the two sides or pinch in each side with one hand (thumb on one side and fingers on the other side) to disengage the boot tabs. The knob itself is also easy, just grab a firm hold of it (one hand or two) and pull straight up (don't yank) until there is enough pressure to disengage from the shaft.

haha very tru, i'm actually prone to doing stuff like that but i'll keep my head to the side when i yank it off :eek:
