I am finally getting around to putting my suspension on but need the use of some spring compressors. Does anyone know of any tool rental shops that have the compressors? Thanks.

Thanks. p nut 07-31-2005, 02:22 PM I've heard Checkers or Autozone rents them out (for free). 12:03 07-31-2005, 02:41 PM free sorta. Usually you pay for the cost of the tool, and as long as your bring it back they give you your money back SehrSchnell 07-31-2005, 03:56 PM Yes, confirmed. Autozone. As tested recently. They only charge you like $44, but refund upon return. Jiberwacker 07-31-2005, 04:07 PM Awesome, that's even better than i ever expected. Thanks for the info guys! Awesome, we'll set adate when I get the springs I want. euro4life 08-01-2005, 11:48 PM On E36 you can get aftermarket springs on and off without a spring compressor. You can compress it with your body weight and put the nut on. I have put stock springs back on without a spring compressor. Not easy but doable. If you are going to a sportier spring, I wouldn't worry about the compressor. Just tear it apart and do it by hand. SehrSchnell 08-02-2005, 12:58 AM And on a E39 you can't. Compressors needed big time. thank you. Makr 08-03-2005, 11:19 AM And on a E39 you can't. Compressors needed big time. thank you. You are most welcome. Colin, Pics of new drop or ban.
