Yeah... you read it correctly: I said 8 car lengths.

So I'm sitting at this light minding my own business jamming out to my music, when this Silver C6 with happy sticker (temp licenses plate for new sold cars) in the window pulls alongside me. He's blipping the throttle; I hear the engine roar, (must say I like the sound) and I could feel the guys eyes all over me just egging me on, but I don't look. I don't give him the time of day. The light turns green; he squeals off and lights me off the line.. No worries! It's a good day and I'm heading to the park.

My minds darts back to my experience with the C6 I drove about a month ago(which is actually a funny story in it's own); I think it is indeed a good car, a little cheaply made on the interior and that stupid neon green speedometer on the windshield bothered me, but overall, I thought it was ok. So as I'm recalling my experience in this car and knowing deep down that I can't take it on any day, I come again upon him at the next light; this time I look over and see the driver... Aha, just as I expected: grey haired, shirt open at the collar, and I could of swore a patch of hair exposed beneath a gold chain. Sorry if I'm sounding stereotypical, but it’s true. We look at each other and with a smirk on my face, I pop it into sport mode, blip my throttle a few times and prepare to take him. He revs, I rev, we all rev.. It's on. From my side I see the other light go yellow and patiently wait for red. I blip the throttle to 1500 rpm, and then 2000 right as my light turns green... We are gone. Whoohoo! 1st 10mps, than 20, 25 35.. The C6 has me down 3 car lengths, but I know I can still get on him, I just know I can. I've got an ace up my sleeve you see, and I'm banking he don't know about it.

Just before I hit 40 miles an hour, my ace is played... 2 motorcycle patrolmen that sit on this RESIDENTIAL stretch almost everyday. They must have got him doing 75 in a 35... and I hit the next light in the lead..Man sucks to be him, new car and all.

I'm sure he's recalling this story a little differently, but as I said earlier.. No worries, It was a good day and I was heading to the park....

With my 5 kids in the car... Can't do that in a C6
