Hey guys, i know its been a little while. My question is to those of you who run at rmr. I just turned 18 on the 18th and i really want to run my e30eta at rmr, im just really nervous especially with all those people! i dont want to screw up in front of everyone. So my question is, is it as bad as it seems? I want to run my car now because i am going to do an s50 swap and want to see the before and after results. So how is it??

Fun, just go run. Ignore everyone else and see what the car will do. If you are thinking midnights, then yes there are alot of people but tons of them are running moms civic so there will always be someone slower, and from the car you are to busy to look at the stands or worry about it.

I think i just want to do it.. Is there another time other than midnights i can go where there is less people?? My biggest concern is losing control goin into second, my tires arent expensive tires and it chirps real good into second i can almost keep it goin in wet conditions and i know the track is slick i dont want to put it into the wall..

I've ran my Z3 out there a few times (about 8 runs total) and every run I was a little anxious about it. I think that you will have some of that no matter what. It's just the adrenaline kicking in. No worse than playing Halo 2! Besides, Geoff is right, you are too busy and focused to really pay attention to the stands or other factors. Just remember to hit that gas on yellow....good luck. I miss it and haven't run for a while. Too many people go now to make it fun. I did drive by last Friday at about 7:30 and there were already people lining up for the techs to approve for midnight drags! That's an eight hour day just to get a couple of runs in. Not for me....I'm thinking of trying the street legal races earlier in the day on Fridays.

Other then midnights you can on on street tire nights (every second friday). Lots less people, and you get 2 or 3 practice runs and then brakets. You will have to buy a number for the year your first time out however, so a bit more money then just doing a midnights.

Track wise, depending on the day it is as sticky or more so then a dry street, you should not have any problems at all.

I go out to most of the street brackets so if anyone is interested in going let me know and we can hook up.

what do the numbers cost? I didn't know that was a requirement.

I think it is 20 or 25 for the year for a number, on top of the 20 to race each event, so the first time will cost 50ish and then just 20 each time from there.

I want to do it now It would be awesome to meet up with you there.. I've only been able to come to one meet i dont know if you remember but we met up at jordan landing i had the ol white e30 eta. Maybe if you were racing to it would get rid of my gitters lol. Anyway my time is extremely limited due to the fact i now live in laramie wyoming as of july 3rd Cause i am attending wyotech. only 9 months actually like 8 now. I come home on weekends but i dont think i could make it in time on friday for either street legals or midnights, because i dont get into slc til like 1030.

Well if you don't get here until 1030 Fridays you out of luck for either, but should you be able to make it earlier one week let me know and I will make sure I go.

i believe we have a down week coming up in september i should easily make it cuz i will be home and nothing to do so i will let you know, im curious to see what my car runs tho lol any guesses??

I'm still waiting on the header, that should be here early next month.

Then slap the last of it back together and with luck it will run this summer.

The rate I'm going on waiting for parts on the Talon I will have the TS at the track first.
