RUN OF THE ///M3s in Ohio!!!
Hey guys,
Ohio NEVER has any fun BMW DTM events, so I am organizing a weekend event in Ohio. All BMW owners will meet at a specified location and tour throughout Ohio reaking havok on Ohio Highways. The tour will start in Columbus, Ohio and run down selected twisties and highspeed areas through a few cities and end up back in Columbus for a photoshoot, celebration, and just all around good times. If you are interested in participating and/or organizing this event, email me your ideas, and contact info at PTGBMW@yahoo.com. This will happen sometime in the near future!

I'm in (as long as it isn't Memorial Day weekend, or the last weekend in July!

Very cool!

I'd be interested. As long as it isn't a "DTM" event..if it is, no way. It would be fun to do an event around mid Sept in conjunction with the Runoffs at Mid Ohio.

I'm already planning a Team Bimmerforums outting and hospitality area at the Runoffs, so maybe we can work on somethings together.

Don't worry Brian, it isn't a "DTM" event. I don't know why I added that. I would be interested in working something together, heck, maybe TC would let us use his shop for a gathering place at the beginning?:dunno

Ummmm..if it involves TC..I'm out. Our history is such that it wouldn't be in the best of wither of our interests to involve or programs with each other. I'll always be a supported of TC's, but from arms length.

You're not making this easy Brian :biglaughb We could always meet up at my house, I think my neighbors are getting used to seeing 20 BMWs in my driveway constantly. Hell they don't even complain about the air-impact being used at 4am :devillook

Chris,

You're right, I'm not making things stupid easy. But, I figure that the best chances for success of both of our planned gatherings would be to mesh them into one larger gathering, rather than 2 smaller meets. However, since there is a substancial financial investment in my Z3 program, I don't feel comfotable with displaying my sponsors and their interests at my former employers. I believe that it would take the spotlight off of them and bring up some personal issues that don't need to be highlighted at such an event. Make sense? I'm against a DTM meet, because, well, we all deserve better than that.....
