I have a 1996 e39 523 se , it has an ASC switch below the heater controls it appears to be wired up but pressing the switch seems to do nothing .
Where on the dash board does the asc light come on ?
I have an airbag fault showing at the moment - would this stop the ASC switch working?
The ASC seems to be on all the time as it is preaty hard to wheel spin the car on pull away and the engine is running well.
Any Ideas for a BMW newbee apart from take it to a BMW dealer and get fleeced!

you need to bring it to a dealer anyways for the airbag light so you're done right there.

there's a triangle with a (!) in the middle smack dead center of the gauge cluster. you really can't miss it. if that's on, then your ASC is off.
