550i only:
Active steering removed from sport package, stand alone only.
Sirius satellite radio pre-wiring standard.
Manual and SMG transmission will not be available for sept. production cars. Should be on Oct. production and later.

All E60 5 series:
DSC now features brake drying, brake fade compensation, brake ready, hill start assist, soft stop

Interior:
Start/Stop button and new key standard
Updated I-drive control with leather insert on top
In dash cd player will be MP3 capable as of Oct. 2005 production on navigation equipped cars; w/out nav cars will be capable starting sept. production.

New colors:
Monaco Blue replaces Orient Blue
Deep Green replaces Oxford Green

New options:
Comfort access - stand alone
heated front seats now available as a stand alone and with cold weather package

Exterior:
Slots on kidney grill now chrome on all models

i'm starting to like the E60's but the i-drive will-drive me nuts though i saw it in action and it's not that bad.... just the front needs a little work.

What do you mean by setup? And the I-drive isn't that bad, once you set most of the features you never touch them again. Radio controls are more easily accessed through the steering wheel or volume/next buttons on dash. Remember, your I-drive preferences are saved with your key fob. So if someone else drives, their settings with activate with the spare key, and yours with your key.

i don't like i drive either, but my friend's dad recently got a 530i. he said once you get used to it, it's not bad at all. the one in the e60 is suppose to be better than the e65 one too.

Learn how to use those buttons on the steering wheel then. That's why they are there. I'm sure BMW did not intend to have you use the I-drive everytime you want to change the radio station/track.
