For MY2006, there will be no X3 2.5. Only the 3.0 will be offered.

Front and rear bumpers are now body colored.

Side window trim and front grill will also be finished in chrome.

Sport package wheels will be styling 192M. Base wheel remains the same.
Sport package upgrade wheel (option code 2ML) is $300 ($200 less than MY2005) Styling 114 has been discontinued. Rear width increases from 18x8 to 18x9. Sport package price has increased $300. Side skirts and the entire front and rear bumper will be body colored, including the wheel arches.

M sport steering wheel replaces the Sport steering wheel. Heated steering wheel no longer available with the sport package. Sport package cars must be ordered in Mystic blue, silver gray, alpine white, titanium silver, black sapphire, or jet black. Sport package also requires leather seating surfaces, sport seats are not made in sensatec/leatherette.

18 inch wheels(styling 113) with all season tires (option 2CB) $500. Previously only available with Sport package.

Power folding mirrors have been discontinued.

So, just to confirm, the new engines from the 3 series sedans are not slated for the MY 2006 X3?

My local dealer is stating September for the appearance of 06 models. He could not verify engine availability.

As of right now, the new motors (NG6/S52?) will not be in the 2006 X3's. As stated in the previous post, the X3 2.5 no longer exists as of September production.

The new motors are SWEET! If you can hold out, I think it only makes since that they will get the new 3.0 in them soon.
