I bought my E34 back in April and have been slowly stockpiling goodies here and there. Put it up on jackstands yesterday and will slowly complete the transformation over the next couple of weeks.

Stuff going on:

Koni Adjustables
Eibach Pro-kit
Z3 shifter
All new front end(control arms, thrust arms, etc.)
Fog lights
Euro headlights
6000k hid kit
Brembo cross drilled rotors F+R
Hawk pads
Brake fluid flush
Redline fluids for the Tranny and Diff
Factory clears all around
M5 License panel
Larger OBC
Evo M3 steering wheel(not sure if this will fit)
Staggered M-par replicas
new water pump
coolant flush
spark plugs
Euro Bumper moldings
E39 rear view mirror

Good times...

Swapping the shifter from a Z3 is the factory equivilent of a short shifter kit. Pretty reasonably priced as well.

Nice looking garage devoted to your E34! It looks like you have got your work cut out for the next couple of weekends. Bet you cat wait to pull the jackstands out and fire it up!

Hahaha, more than likely S52... Maybe even the S50 out of my E30, who knows...

Brodee, our cars are twins except for the wheels. And thanks for the part numbers on the spring pads, dealer actually had them in stock...

NP. Funny, we both have an '89 325 too.

I have it. It's quite a bit shorter than stock, but not nearly as short as the uuc evo3 ssk. my advice - spend the money if you have it.

But, have you tried the UUC? I have the Evo3 in my E30 and it's ok but I just cant justify that kind of cash on a SSK for the E34 though.

In an e24 M6, yes.

The throw in my 92 525i was ridiculous. Soooo long. This shortened it up to where I think BMW should have made it to start with. It's reasonable for a fiver, but I wouldn't call it a short shift. That's just me. Also, the feel is stock - not that notchy at all.

For the money, it works.

nice!! is the e39 rear view mirror an easy swap? also, did you get the m5 oval version?

Yeah, from what I've been told, it just pops right on. Mine is off a 2002 528, non dimming, non oval, but it has the alarm light built in.

Agreed, I dont know if I want the notchiness in the E34. I think this will be a good compromise.
