I would like to be the first to say that this was a really great meet. It was a little slow at the beginning, but then really grew at the end. I'd like to say thanks to Harrison Motorsports, Martin-Performance, Andretti Speedway, and everyone who was part of getting all this together. The food was great, karts were great, and the turnout was awesome. Let's have another. ;)

It was great to see old faces and new. Oh yah, I was the one with the cam in my hand the whole time, if you wanted to know. I am just about to start editing the video and the pics should be up here soon. :redspot

Thanks. It turned out amazing. That was our first meet put on by United Bimmer, and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I'm sure the next one will be even better.

Thanks again for everyone who came out!

I am currently uploading 166MB (143) photos @ 2048x1512. That must suck for 56K. It will probably be an open dir gallery. As for the video, it's currently 17min long @ 4GB uncompressed and unedited.

Have fun:

http://www.f7lans.com/rob/bmw/andretti_meet071605/

I just realised that I forgot to set the ISO, so the images are a little pixelated. Just resize them down to say 800x600 and they should look pretty good. If you need one cleaned up, say for a background, I can probably do so in PS. Just PM me. Hopefully I can get the video out here by tomorrow. It's hard to work with 17 minutes worth of video.

Nice pics guys, I had fun even though it was sorta hot and humid. We should definitly hold more, maybe if I can find an abandoned parking lot or something where we won't be disturbed by local law enforcement :evil2 And the guy with the M5, you obviously have a louder exhaust than I do. Although you Kind of ruined it for the guys (with E46 M3's) I was trying to show what a Dinan exhaust sounds like

Man I should of went to the meet. Thought about it but I figured it was gonna rain and ruin it. Someone needs to invest in a new camera. Most of those pics look sorry even when they were lightened up. The one on united bimmer almost look like they came from a cell phone.

As I said before, I forgot to set the ISO. The pictures were also taken on my camcorder, which is not a full camera by itself. I also have video coming and the quality from it will be no where near the "cell phone" that you assume was taking the pictures. You have no right to even say this, because you didn't even show up.

Calm down buddy. I said they look like they came from a cell phone. If I did show up, I would have taken 10x's better pics than those. I guess I should of shown up then. Anyways, you figure the one sponsoring the meet would of had a good camera as well. Anyways he said some of the pics on the UB's thread were his. Those didn't look that great either. I couldn't tell which pictures came from whom.

All the pictures on united bimmer were also resized (i think 30%), which loses some quality. I was making them smaller and "Saved for Web" so it's POSSIBLE for people with 56k to view the thread, without every picture being > 1MB. I also am not a professional photographer, I don't claim to be. I was taking some pictures with my personal camera (4.1MP I believe) and my objective was to show the cars that actually showed up to the meet (unlike you), not get all artistic with it. And you said if I was sponsoring the meet I should have gone out and bought a good camera.... yeah, let's go spend thousands of dollars on a nice camera to take pictures from an event put on by a not-for-profit community based website... just so the pictures might show the paint as being a bit more reflective. If you want to come to the next meetup and take some of your own professional pictures, that'd be great, but I believe for this meet our pictures did what they were intended to do- show everyone else what cars were at the meet.

And if you think that is cell phone quality, I'd like to know what kind of cell phone you're using, because I have a razr v3 and the quality still sucks.

We used to have our meets there too...back in the day (Legendary Legendz) and all types of vehicles were invited. Looks like you all had a great turnout....definitely some lovely cars....and Mr. Martin, thanks for the leads...I will definitely be in touch...you know I need some parts man!

I'd half to agree with you but i'm afraid she's alittle young for your friend....15 that is. She'll either be getting an M coupe, Boxster S or Z4 for her first car. Good pics though, your BMW was lookin badass at the meet.

Also I would say at a max we had about 35-40 cars together arond 2:30-3 and about 18-25 that stayed the whole meet.
