I had to take my huge old school box out of my trunk to help ease my rubbing issues a little.. The amp and speaker wires are still in the trunk and I was thinking of hooking the wires up to my rear 6x9s.. They are currently connected to the rear stereo wires.. Will it do any harm to connect the amp to the 6x9s while still connected to radio as well ? The amp is MONO with 2 channels Alpine 300W..

well that depends on the brand and power handling rating of those 6x9s..

Besides the power issue, will there be any conflict between having the amp hooked up to the speakers as well as the radio speaker wires?

Ok, I know this sounds confusing.. My rear speakers (6x9s) are currently powered by the CD unit.. Ok.. Now what I want to do is in addition to the current going to the speakers from the radio, I want to hook up juice from the amp also.. The amp is mono so that is why I want to leave the radio wires connected as well.. I am concerned about frying something..

ummm... just unhook the 6x9's from the deck and hook in the wires from the amp. you can't have two sources of "signal" at the same time. it will not give you extra power if that is what you were thinking. in fact, i would guess that they would not even play if you did that. possibly even damage the speakers.
