View Full Version : Anyone here work in Real Estate?
AtlzDesiKhiladi 07-15-2005, 10:22 PM Hey I am looking for someone working in real estate to help me out with something, it has to do with properties in FL but I do not know if I have to go to a FL agent for the help that I need. It has to do with access to the real estate broker database that allows you to see what the house has previously sold for as well as houses around the area....let me know if anyone can help me out, I also have a great payout for you if you are interested. Thanks!
Robstah 07-16-2005, 12:39 AM I work for GAMLS, but I don't think we have any listings in Florida. If we do, it will be a very small amount. I kinda know the ropes of real estate, so if you need any questions, I can probably help.
4ngie 07-16-2005, 09:18 AM I'm a real estate appraiser. Brokers, agents, and appraisers are generally only licensed in the state they live in. However, in most states, property taxes are public record and they'd show how much the house has sold for in the past. If you can get me the address of the home you're looking at, I can probably look it up for you. :D
Let me know.

Chris Huff 07-16-2005, 09:24 AM Typically the property are listed on the county's tax website. Here is the one for Greenville county:

Just do a little digging on the county's website.

THanks...will definately be contacting you. Realtors can see everything from how much it sold for in the past, how much it was listed for, where it was listed, how many times it was listed, asking price of homes on the same street/area, etc. Lots of detailed information that they do not want the public to access....thats what I need because I have a pretty good deal with someone if I can find the right house...PM me if you want to know more...

Well, I am currently in Technical Support and I am also programming a few things to help make the company more efficient. I am not fully working with them, it is mainly just a temp job for over the summer. I have been working there for close to 2 years now though.
A little off topic, but I am working with someone who just got their show hosted on MTV2 called Stankervision. His name is Zac Pope. It's a very funny, yet raunchy show. The newest one comes on this Friday at 9PM on MTV2.

My personal experience is that live and in person classes are much more beneficial that CBT. Typically, instructors have plenty of war stories to help explain an idea or rule. Too, while they cannot and will not teach the test, based on feedback from students taking the state tests, they will make sure you know the important stuff. I fall asleep using CBT's and don't push myself as fast as the classroom setting does.
While I am a FL Realtor, we only have access to a local MLS (or two) for the kind of information that you may want. You should specify a particular city or county to find the MLS member that can help. Anyone can go to their county site to find recorded sales information.
