A Little Bitchy? Yes
Fiery Competiter? Yes

Thats some of the straight truth on the Girl Wonder fellas. I am dating a girl that was in her High School class and have met and talked to Danica at length numerous times, drank Beers with her ect.... Evertime she is in town for the Holidays or other occasions I usually see and talk to her. Let me know what else you guys want to know. I can't believe people are even questioning this Racecar Drivers talent, its obvious she has plenty of it and is holding her own and then some this year. Jealousy from a bunch of "BenchRacers" I guess. ;)

Danica has won plenty in the past and is all of 23 years old and will win a race soon. The Indy 500 was her's if she would not have ran low on Gas. Count the Pole Positions, Podiums, Top Fives, Top Tens. She has proven in the last few years she can compete with the best and consistancy makes a great Racecar Driver. She is a smart Racer as well and has very few DNFs.

I'm not even a Danica hater, but I'd love for you to list the automobile races she has won. No need to list karting wins...there have been plenty of karters who never made the transition to winning automobile races.

Stalls in the pits and fails to conserve fuel for the final laps.

Good driver... Hmmmm... could be, but I'm just sick and tired of the Hype.

Damn, that MP4-20 is beautiful.

This is what I've said all along. The girl can drive. Can she win?

the IRL is cool and all (it's not), i want to see what she can do in a champ car or a GP2 ride.

not that i doubt that she would be successful, but openwheel oval racing is like masturbating with a cheese grater.

and i seriously doubt her company line: "Growing up, all i ever wanted to do is race in the IRL." i mean, maybe indy cars in the mid 80's, or F1--but no one dreams about racing in the IRL...

Fernando Alonso is 23, almost F1 champion, five wins already.
Montoya was F3000 champion at 23 and Williams test driver.
Castroneves the youngest driver to win back to back Indy 500 and the only one to do it in two attempts.
Jeff Gordon the youngest champion in NASCAR, and the youngest to win Daytona.
Danica as a driver doesn't impress me, now as a girl she is fine...

She won the Long Beach Grand Prix Toyota Pro Celeberity race in 2002, beating Tommy Kendall. Now in the Formula Atlantic race that weekend, she did not do as well. Michael Valiante, now driving for Finlay Motorsports in a BMW powered DP was the star of that race. MV, should be driving open wheels in CART or IRL.

If you have not figured it out by now, it takes money to race in the big leagues, more than most people have, you have to charm the sponsors, talent alone is not enough.

The fact that as a driver she's 23 and hasn't won any race yet doesn't impress me.

I like Danica. I used to watch her race karts when ESPN was covering races at IRP (remember Fast Masters racing at IRP in Jag XJ220s?).

Also, open-wheel oval racing sucks large.

you guys are all stupid dicks.
No where in the words "racecar driver" is there a gender specified. I am not following her too much, but if she is good, she will win. She is better than ANYONE on this forum and if you are too much of a little bitch to admit that, then you have problems of your own to sort out.

So Danica would have won the Indy 500, except for the fact that she ran low on fuel.
Were you watching the same Indy 500 the rest of us were watching?

No, neither in "football quaterback" or "bull rider" or bull fighter" or "Tour de France bike rider".
Got here late already, we know we suck and she is great.
Let's move on.
She'll win eventually, and we all be happy.
I like what TK (IRL champ) said today, "as long and she brings people (money) to the events I am all for it". :evil2

i would if you could get them and Tony george all in one place.

then i'd ask them "why did you kill open wheel racing with this CART-IRL bullshit? the US already has NASCRAP. why do you make it impossible for road racing to reach the masses? why do you take a 700 hp engine in a nice light open wheel chassis, and run it around ovals? what are you going to do when every engine maker pulls out of IRL racing except ford and hyundai-cosworth? and lastly-screw you for making T-A or Star Mazda the only places to go for real american open wheel road racing not bogged down by politics and a dumbed down oval racing format."

watching dirt track races is more exciting than watching the IRL, what does the IRL have to offer besides IMS each year? i'd rather watch the Runoffs. i'd rather watch solo-2 nationals in the baking heat. i'd rather mow the lawn, actually.

Enter her in the next Michelin Race of Champions where she has to go up against people like F1 and WRC drivers and we'll see how good she really is. Anyone can go fast in a car that has a lot of money behind it (like the Argent team). However, put her in an equal car as everyone else and then you'll see how well she does.

-Prince

(PS - add balast so her weight is the same as everyone else. 40-60 lbs less than anyone else is quite a large % in open wheel racing).

p1u1n1x1
07-20-2005, 04:02 PM
the balast thing would still be unfair because they would simply put the weight on the bottom of the car which would still give her a lower center of gravity.

The wieght thing is a HUGE deal, technically she should easilly be winning every race, if she was a good driver. (I'm not saying she isn't, BUT...).

She has, what I like to call, "Kornikova Syndrome" which means she looks good and gets tons of publicity, BUT she prob. won't ever win.

Katherine beat Kimi Raikkonens lap record in Formula Renault in the 2001, 2002 season.
Thats pretty neat.
