I know that 528i's are not that glamorous, but I like the smooth I-6 and economy. I have a propensity to drive fast and this car keeps me out of trouble for the most part.

I am considering selling the M3 for a 528i and found this one in the color combination that I am desperately seeking - white/black.

Do you think $17.5k is reasonable for this '99 w/ sport package, 79k on clock? kbb.com lists the retail value slightly above this (around $17.8k).

What is the most you would pay for this car?

Sounds like a Sport/Premium car. Find out if it has the sport seats or not, I personally think they are much more comfortable. As for that car, the color combo is not going to be a big selling point to most people (white=stripper to the average person), so knock a little off for that, and knock a little off for the manual as well. You may like it, but the average person wants an auto if they are shopping for a 5. Drive it, and if you like it, offer something like $15,000. See what they do.

Thanks for the advice. I really wanted the sport seats but I don't believe it comes with them unfortunately. I hate the burlwood, how easy is it to change this out for the graphite trim?

Beautiful ride, very tasteful mods. But priced a tad out of my range. I think I need something a little closer to stock as this will be more of a value purchase. Again car looks absolutely wonderful. :buttrock

For the trim, new from the dealer it costs about $700 to change. I am going to be selling my black (graphite?) trim when I get my titanium trim. A lot of people just sand it down and paint it, and you can get any color you want that way. It should come out good, too, as long as you take your time.

I got lucky so far.. even my 530ia is more comfy at 85-90 mph. I took my car 135+... after that I stopped looking at the speedo. BMW= trouble :evil2
