I'm looking for a cheap place to get my a/c system evaporated and recharged. The places i've looked at like pepboys or jifylube charge $120 for a system check and recharge. I've heard of some people saying it should be around $60-100. Anyone know of a good place around in long island or queens? Or maybe if someone here has the equipment to do the evap and recharge i could pay you?

I went to this mechanic shop beside Quality Auto in flushing NY. They even have R12 for my 92 325i.

i would do it myself but i dont' have the equipment to do an evacuation. I opened my system up to replace my condenser which means i need an evac done first before I recharge. Unless you have a vacuum as well?

I took my daily driver ('93 Legend) to 207 St. and 10th ave (Manhattan), there is a white bussiness van for A/C parked right across a BP gas station. They will remove all of the remaining freon and check for leaks before refilling, price $60. I haven't taken my "M" because I haven't needed yet but they now what to do when it comes to A/C. New or old cars and trucks.
