View Full Version : anyone watching the F1 british grand prix? GoodOlSappy 07-10-2005, 02:10 AM watching it, seems like its gonna be a pretty good race. discuss... ronin009 07-10-2005, 03:02 AM I would love to see Kimi to do even better than he did last week and come from 12th and finish first... savattack 07-10-2005, 01:16 PM yea, kimi is just awsome but i hope ferrari can but it back together :redspot m3fuz 07-10-2005, 02:33 PM I can't believe Fiscichella stalled  . Great race though. WheelSpin18 07-10-2005, 02:36 PM I can't believe kimi is this good.13th to 2nd last race, 12th to 3rd this race.Damn his engineers for those engine failures, he would have won the last two easily. For some reason i can't stand alonso, he seems way too full of himself and above everyone.Williams/bmw is outta it, so lets go McLaren! m3fuz 07-10-2005, 02:40 PM I can't believe kimi is this good.13th to 2nd last race, 12th to 3rd this race.Damn his engineers for those engine failures, he would have won the last two easily. For some reason i can't stand alonso, he seems way too full of himself and above everyone.Williams/bmw is outta it, so lets go McLaren! I agree about Kimi & Alonso. When is Ferrari going to pull out of this slump? WheelSpin18 07-10-2005, 02:44 PM No idea, they don't have much time left (8 races). I'm just waiting for Kimi to say "i love gooooold". Max///M3 07-10-2005, 03:24 PM Montoya was due for a good race. rmani 07-10-2005, 03:26 PM Really exciting GP. Again a strong showing from Kimi it's a shame he always has to start from the back of the grid. Fishi blew it plain and simple, I'd love to hear what Flavio said to him after the race was over. Ferrari still struggling but Michael really got held up badly by trulli. Overall an excellent race I was sitting on the edge of my seat when alonso came out of the pits alongside montoya. ArticM3 07-10-2005, 05:30 PM Kimi Raikkonen = Finnish Boomhauer (King of the Hill).... I can never understand what he is saying! Good race though! Kimi is definitely the best of the bunch... Vrooom 07-10-2005, 06:44 PM Anyone think that if Schumacher/Kimi hadn't been held up that Kimi might have had a chance at 1st? They ended up something like 20 seconds back when Trulli finally pitted. Michael wouldn't have done much, but Kimi - without that hold up...well who knows. That pass he put on Alonso seems like it was just to say "see - if I could start where I qualify..." p1u1n1x1 07-10-2005, 07:23 PM Good result for Mclaren, nice to see Montoya back up front, but you've got to wonder how the season would be looking right now if Kimi could get some good luck. tylerAWe36m3 07-10-2005, 08:53 PM FINALLY! montoya didn't have any bad luck. looks like mclaren found a good launch control system, second race in a row montoya passed a couple cars into the first corner. yeah def. the moments i was at the edge of my seat were the start and WOW coming out of the pits after the first stop. that was some close wheel to wheel action. glad i got up at 5:30 to watch. kimi's pass on alanso (even though he pitted right after) was awesome, the way the mclaren changed direction and darted to the inside was great. the pass was kinda a slap in the face for alonso! i don't think alonso is arrogent, he actually seems like a chill guy. kimi is going to be in the next austin powers movie as goldmembers son! lol that comment was great... i love gooooooold! lol poor williams, well we will see what happens when bmw have a couple seasons w/ the new team. cheers, ty BETO 07-10-2005, 09:34 PM Congrats to JPM!! Well-deserved victory :redspot :buttrock Hard to believe it's his fifth only. Don't feel sorry for Kimi, $hit happens, part of racing. Lady luck has to be on your side to win a race too. Shoulda, coulda, woulda won't win races. I think Fernando is amazing and he deserves to be the champion. Consistent all year, winning, qualifying, , pitting (not stalling) and finishing the races. I don't see him arrogant. He is a very young (barely 23) talented driver at the top of the F1 world, wouldn't you behave like that? Do you guys remember when you were that age? Go Alonso!!! :alright Raphy 07-10-2005, 09:55 PM Does anyone agree with me that Ferraris slump and 2 "other" teams are being effected partle b/c of the new Bridgestone tyre? Why was Michelin able to develop such a better tyre? I DONT KNOW WHATS GOING ON......but I love Ferrari. p1u1n1x1 07-10-2005, 11:02 PM Michelin of course has data from Williams, Mclaren, Sauber, Renault, Red Bull, BAR, and Toyota while Bridgestone gets data from Ferrari, Minardi, and Jordan, the latter two not contributing much as they can't afford to test. So Mishelin has a larger base from which to draw experience, however I think too great a weight is being put on Bridgestone for Ferrari's failures this year. The Ferrari is an evolution of a car thats 3 years old, which was dominant for a while, but other teams have been getting radical with their designs trying to beat the reds. In the past few years these radical designs have been failures, most notably the never raced mp4-19, but the Renault and Mclaren have finaly made a leap forward this year in both speed and reliability. Next year will be a true test given that all teams are starting with a clean slate ina new formula. tylerAWe36m3 07-10-2005, 11:13 PM Congrats to JPM!! Go Alonso!!! :alright well said, yeah i remember being that age, it was last year! man, sometimes i wish i grew up in a racing family instead of an airplane one! then MAYBE i would be in some sort of formula. Fly N Drive 07-12-2005, 06:05 PM So Mishelin has a larger base... Please don't spell Michelin with an 'sh' again. :nono p1u1n1x1 07-13-2005, 02:16 AM I spelled it correctly once and wrong once, but you only picked up on the wrong one because you have a negative outlook on life. You'll probably die alone. Blke36 07-13-2005, 01:44 PM I spelled it correctly once and wrong once, but you only picked up on the wrong one because you have a negative outlook on life. You'll probably die alone. What a contrast to his negativity. :stickoutt p1u1n1x1 07-13-2005, 02:11 PM :d ///Mal 07-13-2005, 03:34 PM Looks like Mercedes has gotten their s*it together. Now only if BMW could follow suit. Did JPM brush Alonso at his launch?. Was too close to tell. p1u1n1x1 07-13-2005, 03:41 PM It looked to me like he got away clean. Mclaren sure is firing on all 10 cylinders now that Paragon is fully operational. With such a state of the art fully integrated facility they should be the team to beat for the next few years. |
