Hello everyone,

I am a new member here and just purchased my first bmw. Its a 93 318is(not really looking to make it fast, just a driver). The engine currently in the car is making a very loud tapping sound and without seeing it in person yet im assuming the worst. Im just looking for a good shop in the Jersey suburbs of Philly to have the engine replaced. I would attempt it myself but I live in an apartment complex and don't have the necessary tools. Any recommendations? Im thinking about just picking up a used engine locally.
