but anyway , i was making my way from the battery tunnel to the holland today, and i pull up to a light by the battery and the guy starts reving his motor (in an annoying way). i just ignore him, i was in no mood .. the light changes he blazes off and i drive behind him, half pacing him and half catching up. well i think he thought we raced , so by the next light the guy is heckling me , i had my windows up but i heard him yell ,"no badge means 528" and it made me smile and i rolled down my window and said it was actually a 520d deisel with 140hp. and he yelled back "right , all show and no go!"
i started laughing as i rolled up the window and got ready for the light to change.
he's reving pretty high for his launch and im just above idle. the light turns green .. i roll out at almost idle til about 10mph and floor it. meanwhile tib guy is doing a full race launch and he still didnt get buy me, i proceed to drive away from him like he's standing still for about 3 blocks i get about 10+ :eek: cars in front of him before i let off. i slowed way down and tried to get him to drive next to me and he wouldnt so i turned off at spring street and go about my drive to md.
i know lame kill but entertaining none the less.

I beat a turbo tibby last weekend, its kinda funny that even after turbo they are still slow

it said turbo on the back passenger side of the car. it was a black logo on a red car.
other than that i know nothing about this car.

do they come turboed as a factory option now? Last I heard their "fast" one was GT v6. Which was 180hp/tq. Still pathetic. Those thigns "look" fast, that is it.

Well I just checked on www.autos.msn.com and according to them, there is no Turbo available for the Tiburon (from factory). So it could've been aftermarket, or hell he could've just slapped a badge. But also, if you never heard a BOV or anything, then chances are, he doesn't have a turbo, because most ricers will even add BOVs to stock turbos, just for the sound, or they will get a little microphone in their engine bay that makes the sound. :lol3

But here are the stats of the 3 models of 2005 Tiburon:
