Ok! I moved to this section from general discussion section.
I opened a discussion about Manual tranny SUV's in general discussion section. Then I was advised to move to here.

Ok! how many of us have X5 with manual tranny? If someone has, would you please let me know,

1. How many miles you achieved without major problems? (major problem means, engine trouble, tranny trouble, etc etc).

2.How easy it is to maintain? I am a DIY person. I can afford to buy OEM parts, but I tends to do most of maintenance job myself even including semi-engine overhaul such as valve job, Head Gasket job etc etc. Is there any good quality manual available?

3. What is your opinion on X5 with manual? Is X5 with manual your best car ever purchased? or could it be the last BMW in your life?

4. Finally, how easy it is to locate a good quality X5 with manual tranny? My local dealers don't have at all (even brand new one). They said they can locate one for me but at mucho extra premium $$$...

I personally maintain my cars as precisely as possible and keep up with most of maintenance schedule and tend to keep the car until it reached 200k miles or above... I hope X5 with manual tranny is a kind of car that can serve me for long long long time with robust/dependable performance.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
