Hi Guys & Girls,

What is/are the best builder/builders in the area for new homes? We're looking for move to Houston area and want to know before hand what to expect for new home. Do you have any info that can help us to look at the future home? Thanks.

I have heard Grand HOmes do not use good quality material. Definetely David Weekly is a good builder, I am currently building a house in Keller and DW is the builder.

Look at Grand Homes ratings. http://tinyurl.com/c2dqn

Why Keller?

Why Keller?
well i was looking at Lewisville or Flower Mound(good schools) to keep my drive to work less thatn 30 mins. The houses in these areas were beyond my budget. Keller offered good schools and good value for the money, also the drive from my work to keller is about 30 mins. I have the flexibility of avoiding rush hour traffic so that helps me a bit. From what i have heard Keller is growing a lot and we checked out the places close to where we are building(close to intersection of 1709 and 377) and lotsa restaurants and shopping areas close-by.

Well the cops in Keller suck worse than Irving, that's for sure.

Not all cops, just the Keller ones. They are incredibly stingy on speed limits, hell they even pull you over for merely going 5 over.

Hey Rahul, I was in the area the other day. Friend of ours just bought a home in a new development called Sarasota or something or another... Are you around there?

We took 114 to 170 and took a left onto Alta Vista Road. About a mile down the road on the right is this place called Sarasota Heights/Village/whatever. She was the fourth family to buy a house there. Lots of houses are still being built.

The name sounds familiar. I used to deliver out there quite a bit. The only bad part is getting stuck by a train while on delivery :(

No telling what the train schedule is, considering that rail being busy and all.

Hey Rahul, have you considered living in Roanoke? It's a lot nicer than Keller and 114 cuts through Roanoke so you have a DIRECT commute to work as opposed to living in Keller, where you have to take 377N, then 170, and then 114. Just a thought :dunno
