I'm graduating from BMW STEP in October so it's time to start looking for BMW center's to work at. I've wanted to move to either the SoCal or NorCal areas for a while now, so there's no time better than this to make the move. So, what are the good dealerships out there? Which ones have good reputations and which ones have not so favorable reps? Please share the goods and the bads so I have the info to make an educated decision. Thanks in advance!

Oh, and i'm not just looking for people to share employment experiences of particular dealerships. I'm looking to also hear customer experiences as well. If you had a good or bad experience as a customer at a dealership I wanna hear about it. Kinda gives me an idea of how the dealership does business, and if their business philosophies match my own work philosophies. Don't wanna work somewhere that has a bad rep with the customers. If that's the case, prolly won't be too much for me to work on...:D
Anyone care to share?

I'm in Van Nuys and Van Nuys Center BMW is not the most friendly dealership I've been to. I personally would never buy a car through them.
Just curious, what is the BMW STEP?

Crevier BMW is where I would work if i had the choice. I know a number of people working there and they are all great people. Hell, even Donny Crevier's a great guy.

hi,
try looking at peter pan bmw... they are in san mateo in the northbay. my exgirlfriend bought an e46 from them last summer and since then we've been going there...or well we did go there, for repairs and maintenance, etc. they are pretty good and relatively fast. she was under warrantee and it is a dealership so i can't say anything about price. but the sercive was really awesome. the website is peterpanbmw.com they have a contact page for information and stuff like that.
also my personal mechanic is always looking for a new mechanic. he works on bimmers and benzs so it probably fits with what you have just finished. the name of the place is pkauto and the owner fred is really awesome. he is super nice and an honest guy. he is located in burlingame which is a suburb of san francisco (san mateo is also a suburb of san francisco). if u are interested in speaking with fred send me a pm or an email and i'll look for his number for you. (meisohm@hotmail.com)
good luck with your job search california is an awesome place to live!!!

Thanks for the replies Guys.
Ruski325i...STEP is BMW's technician training program.
Meisohm...thanks for the recommendation for your friend. I'd love to work for an independent BMW specialist, but unfortunately one of the stipulations of being accepted into STEP is that you are required to work for a BMW dealership for at least 6 months after graduation.
Anyway, thanks again for the input!
