Well, today (The 4th) has turned out sucky, as did last year. Luckily this year it didn't have to do with a girl, but this year I again missed the fireworks!!! Apparently my parents were contacted about the cops and I got in trouble.

The story? It happened in Madison.

Cop's View...
I came down a street (Main Street) and turned right at a light and my tyries squeeled and screeched. The cops were alerted because of this, they told me they were down the street a bit dealing with a fireworks complaint. They were not in uniform and had unmarked cards during all of this. They said after turning fast I came down the road hauling at 70 miles per hour with a loud engine note and then made a sharp left. They told me they tried to wave me down to slow down and that they saw fathers in the park across the street yelling "get him" and waving at me to slow down. They said that the footchased for a little bit, then go in their car(s) and took off to catch up to me. They said they saw me go down to a road and turn and head towards a neighboring town (Florham Park). Well they couldn't catch up and so they called the Florham Park PD who responded with seeing me just go by. So when I went in they told me all of this and charged me with reckless driving which, if you do not know, is upto 60 days in jail and/or a $50-$200 fine. The cop wrote it happened at 8:12 on the ticket.

My View (what really happened...)
I had come down mainstreet, it was closing in on 8:00. I was off to pickup a friend of mine (the girl from last friday, for those of you who can remember...) Anyways I stopped at the red light on Main Street (the one where the cops said I screached my tyres) and then made the legal turn on red. I then went down that road as they said, but I only was going 40 tops as I stayed in second knowing the distance was short. I would say maybe a tenth of a mile. So my engine was running loud due to being in high revs in first and second (probably, I am unsure though about this) anyways, I apolagized for being a little fast at that point. Anyways...I turned where they said I turned, that intersection has a blinking yellow light so I slowed down a lot. I should also mention that the road I was turning onto is narrow and had cars on the opposite side so there is no way I could have taken that turn at any amount of heavy speed. Well after making that turn I made a quick right because that is the road she lives on. I never went down to the road (Central Ave) and headed towards Florham Park. So when I got to her house I stayed for awhile and then left at around 8:15 (3 minutes after the cop said I tore down the street at 70)... hmmm. Anyways, her and I went back to my friend's party and whatnot, not noticing any cops or anything on the way back.

So anyways...I have to goto court. I am getting a lawyer for it and my friend and my friend's mother will probably testify that I was in her house from like 8:05 to 8:15 because I was speaking to them and the grandmother. This helps me prove that I was never in Florham Park and therefore the cops were lying about that part. From there, I dunno...the lawyer will say what we will do but I really hope that the charges get dropped fully because I honestly did nothing wrong and my night got ruined because a couple cops decided that I was going 70mph...

Anyways... god help me. Just wanted y'all to know and I hope that you guys had a better fourth of July than I did. It feels like I will never get to see the Fireworks with a girl...honestly I must be cursed or something. I was havin so much fun with all my old friends (from highschool) and ... fuckin A man... anyways, discuss...

Madison police are no joke, they will pull you over for the smallest thing, that's why I never like driving through main street.

... Because someone has to work on the 4th. I went to work yesterday... 10-3. I am glad too because I got payed for time and a half.

Anyways... Police in this area in general are really hot headed. I know my friends have been pulled over and have been ticketed for going 1-2 miles per hour over the limit.

Update...

Apparently reckless driving comes with a 5 point penalty as well, something I just cannot suffer through. That would majorly suck. Anyways the attorny says that there is no possible way to get a deposition from the cops as it has never been done. What bullshit because they told complete lies and then layed me with this ticket and what can I do? He also said that most likely I will get a speeding ticket which is a fine and like 2 points. It will probably get downed to careless driving or a speeding ticket. This just sucks so much though because the cops could technically run the plates of a car and do it to some random person that they see driving down the road. Extremely frustrating if you ask me... :evil2 :mad :devillook

TWP? All I know is where it happened in Madison. Oh well, the new update tonite is that the case may move to Florham Park which would really screw things up for me, as in I better take what I can get in terms of reducing. :(
