I need to do some more nit-picking, hehe. Im 90% certain this will be my sub amp (PPI 2300, if you forgot already), so I just need to find one. The only place I found which carries PPI stuff is called Monney Car Audio. The place is great (I went in the back shop and saw a Supra, a Nissan, two MBs and a BENTLEY!!! ). The only nit-pick is the amp is quite pricy... the PPI is like $600-800 range (I got an estimate a long time ago, but its around there... but is this the normal price? Yikes!). I was wondering if there are any stores or distributers (online, Best Buy, anything) of PPI amps... just a name is fine, but a place youve personally done business with is preferable. Thanks in advance.
Also, the place does installs for about $65 (plus parts, but one year warranty), is this more economical than putting it in myself? I mean, if its good enough for a Bentley, why not? :D Again, any input would be appreciated.

hehe... that's funnie.... my friend with the Audi A4 jus' put in a sub/amp in his car about 3 weeks ago. He used JL Audio 12" W3 and a PPI2300.... but his amp went dead on his way home. Took it back to the shop and everything was wired rite... when it wasn't overheated, the subs sounded great, but his amp always overheated in 30 minuets. Took his amp back and they replaced his amp. Turns out his amp was a dud/defect....
but PPIs are really good amps to use for subs. He switched to a bigger PPI amp afterwards after trying out the Rockford fosgate amps. He said Rockford Fosgate didn't sound nearly as good as his PPIs.

Good luck.

Anfanger,

I'm not real familiar with PPI amps but here's a website I know of that sells PPI stuff. The prices on alot of their stuff is pretty good and my friend told me they are legit. The only thing is with some of the Brands, they may be authorized distributors but not authorized dealers. Just check it out....http://www.thezeb.com/zebaudio/pricelists/ppi.html

PPI is a good brand....

I also believe Saeed runs PPIs to power his subs.

Check out www.sounddomain.com.

They have one for $329.

I've ordered from them several times with good results everytime.

Good luck.
