Man, i'm glad i got to watch all the pit crews and team managers, i didn't really want to watch an f1 race.

What is the deal with the coverage of F1 races on tv?!?! I swear we saw as much team/pit as we did the f1 race. It's been bothering me with every race, but this latest french f1 i really thought it was going to hurt someone.

Is this annoying the heck out of everyoen else?

nope, they are part of the "team" anyways.

yes... but looking at a pit crew sitting in chairs... not exciting.

I've come up with a novel idea, let them change tires.

i actually kinda like the rule that they can't change tires, it changes some aspects of the race.

and let me make it clear, i have no problems with them showing pit stops.... its just when they sit there and show a team manager staring at a screen for 30 seconds, instead of showing the interesting race that i can't stand it.

I see what Jimmy means but made me think; how could/should they improve F1 Speed Channel braodcasts? Did you see the team monitor of each car on track? How about a smallish box in one of the upper corners showing this thoughout the race? Maybe showing only the cars on the first lap after the halfway point. Only three cars finished on the lead lap, isn't that a bit unusual?

Did you notice a claimed attendance of only 80,000? Renualt (sp?) and Michellin home court? Why so few? I thought it would be a big deal.

Trulli looked like he was holding up the field for about 18 laps which did help the race stay close.
I always like seeing the expressions on the team managers, if they have any.

Formula One needs to throw the no tire change policy in the trash. I understand the engine rule, but watching cars crash week after week from tire failure is asking for trouble.

I also like seeing a bit of what goes on in the pits(not just pitstops), but I did think this race was showing excessive amounts of "fluff" compared to just showing the race. They also seemed to not show key things like people exiting the pits, or intervals between cars(I only saw that a few times the whole race).

I just think the Frenchies who were covering the race didn't really understand some of the finer points of F1 racing. It seemed more like a coverage of some "true life drama" than a race...

after watching the entire race rerun when I was actually awake...I have to say the pit crews were much more exciting sitting in their chairs than the race itself.

Good thing the race at limerock was good..even if one of the bimmerworld cars ended up in the tree's (at least, in the part of the race I saw)
