My 2000 BMW X5 just failed the Georgia emissions inspection, meaning I can't get my annual tag until I get it fixed. The "service engine soon" light was on, and according to the inspector, it automatically fails the Georgia test.

The codes were P1174 and P1175, which are " manufacturers specific codes", not generic codes like those for a catalytic converter, O-2 sensor, etc.

Anyone have a clue as to what these two codes mean?
