been working on this a little:
requires a 3d card
use the mouse to place some cones
then hit enter
and use the arrow keys to "walk the course"
you can drop whatever map.bmp you want in place of the one I included
it must be a 24bit BMP, 512x512 though
it overlays the course map so you can use it to design courses or practice a course ahead of time

its very "Beta" ish but it works

Might be fun, but I think finding a vacant asphalt area would be a better use of time. Seat time means in the seat of your car, not in front of your computer.

no doubt, finding a vacant lot and duplicating the course there and practicing would be a better use of your time.
...
Do you know if that's actually legal?
Id love to find a empty lot and set up some cones, but i figure that it's pretty illegal :dunno

Very cool tool--I could see that being extremely useful.
Its not supposed to replace 'seat time,' but it would certainly suplement course memorization.
Thanks for the badass program!

I've been to New Mexico - It'd be pretty easy to find a vacant lot there.
Now NYC/Arlington/etc - nah. Especially Arlington - try that here and the active traffic enforcement brigade is likely to have a field day with you.

I think taking an extra couple coursewalks and 5-10 minutes to close your eyes, sit and visualize driving the course is more valuable.
But whatever works!

I think its probably more helpful for courses designing then anything else. I could see it being very handy when trying to sort out the spacing of a course you were designing--
