I have an e34 and today my front passanger door lock got stuck in the locked position. It happened when my dad tried to open the door right as I unlocked the car. All the other doors work fine. I tried cycling the locks, and tried to manually unlock the door by pulling on the little stick. The stick isn't moving and it feels like it is loose and has detached it self because I can easily turn it around. Also, my car now will not lock it self. When I lock it, they unlock on their own almost like the actuator on the passanger door is stuck. Can you use the manual unlock trick with the key on the passanger door? Any ideas on what the problem could be or how to get in my car would be great.

Will the manual unlock only work if the battery is dead?

did you try resyncing the locks?
