I am looking for the part number for the forged Lightweight wheels. I know there was an alloy wheel that was produced post 98, but I want the actual LTW wheel part number. I tried working with the guy at the dealer, but I wasn't entirely sure if I had the right wheel. So, I'm just curious as to if anyone knows the actual part number. I'm also curious if the forged LTW were available staggered.

Thanks,
Chris

There were two versions
1) LWT - BMW/MOTORSPORTS embossed and painted produced primarily for the 95 LWT - staggered

2) Forged Five spoke - not embossed and polished - offered on convertibles and as an option on Coupes and Sedans.

Basically the same wheel - both are forged construction.

www.realoem.com - have a look and see.

here is a pic of my 7.5" LTW wheel manuf. 8/98. The rear 8.5" wheel part number ends in 860 instead of 850.

The 95 LWT M Double-Spoke Forged (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BF93&mospid=47486&btnr=36_0201&hg=36&fg=15) 7 1/2 - 36112227350; 8 1/2 36112227360

the 96+ M Double-Spoke Polished (Style 24) (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BG93&mospid=47488&btnr=36_0202&hg=36&fg=15) 7 1/2 - 36112227850; 8 1/2 - 36112227860

Both are forged, one is polished. The later is probably a wee bit heavier.

< snip > I'm also curious if the forged LTW were available staggered. Thanks, Chris

They were fitted 7 1/2 front, 8 1/2 rear, shod in 235/40x17s on the LWT. One could buy four 7 1/2 and run them or four 8 1/2 and run them, or run them as the factory offered in staggered configuration.
The 96+ Polished version was also offered in staggered configuration but with 225/45x17 front and 245/40x17 rear to help dial-in understeer.

Thanks, I was looking for the actualy LTW wheel that came on the LTW, so I'm assuming its the "7 1/2 - 36112227350; 8 1/2 36112227360". Thanks everyone.
