guys, i just got my 2 front tires (235/40/17) and had them mounted and balanced at firestone (it's right next to my house) anyway, once i got home yesterday i realized they had put the weights on the outside of the rim, the side that faces outside the car. i brought them back today, and the guy said they would vibrate if he put the weights on the inside. any input on this ???

p.s-- my rears are balanced with the weights on the inside and no problems with them whatsoever.

Most machines will let you put weights on the inside. It's not an ideal location, but it will work fine.

he did a standard dynamic balance. standard meaning stamp on weights, dynamic meaning back and front sides of the wheel. Ask for an allu2 dynamic balance, it will involve tape weights that stick to the under part of your wheel.
