Effective 6/20/05

Volkswagon of Brazil has selected XtecUSA (a distributed brand of Apexcone) to be their supplier for HID systems installed at the factory during production.

As part of a decentralization plan to lower production costs, Volkswagon has empowered their regional manufacturers to purchase components and sub-assemblies from local suppliers.

XtecUSA (Apexcone) through their South American distributor has gained this important and prestigious position through excellence in supply and outstanding quality.

We are proud and honored to be a supplier to Volkswagon, Brazil. Special thanks to Karen Jimenez-Saffrin, my admin, for her many long hours in invaluable language assistance.

Come see us at the show in Sao Paulo, July 5-7. I'll be the American flashing the lights on the Beetle ;)

Congratulations Jim, we wish you much continued success. Pics of the July show are a requirement upon your return my friend.

And to think, I knew him when he was "just" a lowly "Ass Admin." here... :devillook ;)

I dunno about that. But I think it is very safe to say that the rumors of Xtec quality issues was a "marketing ploy" not supported by testing by Volkswagon. While there are weekly failures of Xtec HIDs, considering the shipments that have been made, it is a fraction of a percent.
