Just spent 2 days at Summit Pt and I'm now below the wear bars on the outside of my front RA-1s and even with the bars elsewhere on the tires.
They've been used at approx. six 2-day drivers schools and I'll be driving Nelson Ledges July 15-16. Any guesses on whether I'm likely to cord them at Nelson?
Trying to decide whether to replace them or keep on running them. TIA.

Neil, they should be ok. Flip them before running @ Nelson
What club is running @ Nelson Ledges?
Eric -
Northern Ohio Chapter BMW CCA. Last I checked, there were still openings.
Was there for One Lap, but Woody drove. Looks like a very fast and fun course (though the facility is a dump). 2.2 miles long -- almost same as Summit Pt, but lap times are 10 seconds faster!
Let me know if you want me to dig up a link, and thanks for advice on tires.

Flip them on the rim, not just left to right side. However, I can usaully get 3-4 DE's on a set before rotating on the rim :confused How's your camber?
Running just under 3 degrees. And I've already flipped them once.

I usually flip between each event... and rotate between days... that usually makes them last quite a bit longer. Also Neil.. if you drive SMOOTHER you will have less tire wear :devillook ;) :stickoutt
Link me up to the event... Im trying to get into the Summit Point event w/ NASA, but if I cant get in, Ill do Nelson.
