Im am furious right now. I have been waiting 2 1/2 months for a valve cover from benfer. I have not recieved any confirmation that it has been shipped, nor will they return any emails. I have attempted to contact them multiple times and recieved nothing in return. Today I called 411 to try to see if I could get a phone number for them. They aparently do not have a listing at all. I recieved confirmation that I paid but again nothing after that. If anyone has any suggestions of what they think I should do, that would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a business address? Check a regional forum member in the area and see if they are still in business. Man, glad I read this, I was about to order some valve covers from them too! (actually looked at their site last night). Good luck. That's a hell of a wait time.

BenFer said he had a family emergency a few months ago. Since then he has pretty much dissapeared both from here and also E46Fanatics.

What is this bullshit with vendors just dropping off the face of the planet with "emergencies"?

That sucks and all, but a business shouldn’t ever leave their paying customers high and dry. Make some sort of effort to communicate, even if its on their website, ‘Due to an unforeseen blah blah blah’. A blast email. Have someone answering the phones who can issue refunds. Something

too many of these vendors are really hobbyists and not businessmen.

there is very FEW i've dealt with that i've walked away from feeling like i took part in a productive transaction.

i've actually never had one transaction go off without a hitch of some kind. :shifty

Sorry guys, and sorry wiseguy. Here's the deal...

We had been subleasing our office space from another aftermarket automotive company... Not the La Jolla Village Drive address (that's just for mailing), but a building down the road where we kept our inventory, phones, computers, etc. and shipped out of. Well, the owner of that other company let his immigration Visa lapse, bills were not paid, and he had to move his business back to his country of origin. We were left with no phones, fax, and our inventory and computers were locked away by the landlord for 3 weeks (as he was trying to collect final payment). I have been able to answer Ebay email because it's linked to our hotmail account, but that's about it - aside from a few here and there. I have also refrained from posting on the boards. First, it was due to a family emergency, and then the lack of posting was because of a deteriorating situation with the company we were subleasing from. I've pretty much stuck my head in the sand for the last few months and relied on selling to only our resellers (cutting down end-user communication) and I'm really sorry.

How does this excuse us from this? It doesn't...

Wiseguy, I'll be back on BFP email Monday, and I'll issue you a refund. Would you mind sending a copy of your order to dan@benferperformance.com? We ran out of Powdercoated VC's, and have been searching for more acceptable ones to remanufacture. I apologize that you have not received notification of this delay, and you will receive an immediate refund.

As for that sig contest, it ended right when some $hit hit the fan for me personally... so I also apologize to those left hanging on that issue.

Over the next few weeks we will be getting back on our feet, breathing life back into our business, and tying up any loose ends like this one.

Regards,

Dan Bennion

Does anyone else know where to get a Powdercoated Valve Cover? I am in Delaware and i would even settle for getting my existing one coated in this area. BTW...I placed my order for one back in Feb. haha. Atleast they offered numberous times to give me a refund. The only thing I can suggest is that Benfer remove that item from their webpage. It would get rid of a lot of stress from them and their customers.

I have a powdercoater in the area that can do this. I am thinking about throwing on an s52 valve cover. I have one with new gaskets laying around. I need to find out what will hinder this from fitting.
