I wanted to thank the guys at RRT for all their hard work. THey spent countless hours to finish my car. The cage looks and functions AMAZINGly and the suspension rocks!

Heater/Defroster blower still needs to be installed along with kill switch. I also need to clean up some of that wiring and remove the alarm system that was in there from the previous owner... then it will look nicer.

Race car's looking good, Eric! :buttrock

I see the big Induktion sticker on the side-what did Ed do for you? Good guy-used to go to middle and high school with him.

haha... tek, my sister emailed you b/c she needs work done to her Integra... did you get it? It looks like the previous owner never waxed her car and now the paint looksl ike crap. White faded spots all over. She is wondering if "it can be buffed out" or if she'd going to need to repaint the damn thing... any ideas?

Jed, I met Ed several years ago through the Audi club. Great guy. I goto him for things here and there for random things.

I cant wax the cage yet.. I have to clay it first. There is some paint overspray :stickoutt

You are NOT going to win any shows unless you fix that front bumper! :rolleyes

Eric - can we go into prepared class then and do not have to do mod? What bumps a car into Mod class?

p.s. -- how far underweight are you and what type of ballast are you using?

You need a fire suppression system ;)

Eric, the car looks really good. Nice and safe.

As for Induktion Motorsports, I took a set of shocks and springs to have assembled. I already took them off the car. I dropped them off to have them assembled. The dude whole worked on them did the most half-ass job so I had to take them back. The shock hats weren't on properly. They didn't put my bump-stops back in, nor did they put the dist covers on either. When I called Ed back, he made me feel like it was my fault. :rolleyes I took them to Goodyear to have it done right. It was cheaper and done right.

Needless to say, I will never recommend them to anyone, let alone have them work on my car. :nono

There is NO WAY that I believe this story re: Ed making you feel like its your fault -- I think you misperceived it. Ed is one of the nicest guys around and goes OUT of his way tremendously to help people. Crap, if he didn't open his shop so damn far from me, my car would have always been there instead of pro-imports. I think you took his comments incorrectly b/c you were upset to begin with.

Induktion may have screwed up -- no one is perfect; but, I strongly believe Ed would make it right. I am not sponsored by them, so, it's not a case where I am just trying to defend their good name. I really think Ed is that type of guy = great. Perhaps you were just a bit too upset that day and his comments came off that way?? :dunno

You don't believe it?? HAHAHAHAHA Funny, I don't remember you being there. :confused

Since you were there, you must remember the mechanic first giving me the suspension back without it being properly installed?? Not only that, you must recall him not swapping everything over from my stock suspension to the new setup after I particularly asked him to do so? Do you remember the mechanic thowing my shyt around when I took it back for a second time?? Do you remember Ed being frustrated when I called him a 3rd time about it?? Since you were there, you must remember him saying that I can bring it back but it will not be able to be done that day. (SWEET!! My car got to sit on jackstands for the whole weekend :buttrock )Then he said how having the bump stops and dust shields are not necessary. :alright

When I took it to Goodyear, all I had to do was ask once and it was completed as I requested the FIRST time. ;)

Hey, what can I say, I am an unreasonable person. :)

You know...

I've had different experiences than other people but I don't discount them (unless someone is known to be a blatant liar). I've had a good experience with Ed and he's helped me out a couple times, so yes I would not hesitate to recommend him.

However, I do know of another (aside from Andy) whose experiences were different than mine and that's their perogative to relay it as well. I'm not going to belittle his opinion. We might not have the same experience but not everyone does.

One obvious example is UUC where half of us had a good experience and the other half didn't. In one thread with Bill, I didn't like the way Rob stormed in but it still didn't take away the fact that my actual UUC experience had always been a good one. I even said so. Bill didn't discredit me.

Someone had a bad experience and you didn't, then do what you must to relay your side. That can be done without discounting someone else.

Just agree to disagree.

Because of that, I am definitely NOT voting for Pedro!

p.s. -- WongER was the first one to use that term in the MAR.

I taught him that and he and I had an offline convo about it. This is the second time, so therefore I'm putting a public end to it.

I agree 100% Jed. I am not trying to belittle Andy's opinion. I did state that "PERHAPS" he misinterpreted things because he was upset. Then again, Ed could have been a dick that day as well ... I would be pissed too if I was in Andy's situation -- don't get me wrong; but, I know that if I am upset, I am more sensitive to people's comments than normal and misinterpet them.

I mean, Ed could have been frustrated at the mechanic for screwing it up (maybe that mechanic screws up a lot and Ed has to deal with people's phone calls -- he IS one of the owners) ... Plus, I think it's a bit unreasonable for Andy to come in there and expect the car to be done that day -- even if there was a screw-up. Just my opinion. Ed has scheduled other customers to work on .. and can't just drop everything to appease you, even if you think it's something minor ...

Don't get me wrong Andy -- Gary has screwed up my car as well -- and I had to bring it back. But, I just tell him to fix it and leave the car with him. I do not expect him to drop everything and get it back to me that day ... even when it is his fault ... You have to be reasonable as well. :)

I know what you are saying. I have really not had to take my car to a mechanic (I've owned mostly Hondas, what do you expect. :stickoutt ) much. Since I bought my Prelude, I've gone to three mechanics, two fukked up. One MUCH more than the other. Needless to say, I've lost A LOT of respect for them. That's why I am so excited about setting up my new garage. I will try to do ALL that I can myself.

Oh, I stopped by my house. Foundation is set, now the actual building starts!! :buttrock

James, I guess you've never assembled a front strut assembly, because if you had you wouldn't say that. The amount of time that they spent arguing with Andy is quite a bit greater than the amount of time it would actually take them to just do it. Remember that they didn't have to do any work on his car, he had the parts pulled.

BTW, we should settle up at some point.

I've re-assembled a BMW front strut assembly on my car ... :dunno that fcuker took me like one hour at Gary's :mad

Andy -

So true. It is hard to find a good mechanic that you can trust. I trust Gary; but, at the same time, I also expect him to screw up at times (weird, ehh??).

Did you put your handprints into the foundation or your butt cheeks?? :stickoutt

That's great the foundation is set! Maybe the contractors will go on strike now :stickoutt

EXACTLY!!

When I first got the shocks back, the shock hats weren't on correctly, It was OBVIOUS that they weren't on correctly. Then when I took them back, the mechanic was BLATANTLY throwing them around in front of me and Ed to show he was mad. I had KYB AGX shocks, the adjustable ones. Thanks to him, the setting marks were severely scraped off. :rolleyes Then when I got them back the second time, the nut that holds the shock hat on was stripped, and the dust covers/bump stops were still sitting in the box. :rolleyes

Oh well, I ended up trading that setup for a TEIN Basic coilover. :dunno
